Question 2:

Before making significant changes to the Slax virtual machine, such as installing
updates or software, you want to create a backup point. How can you create a
snapshot of the virtual machine using VMware Workstation Pro? Explain the
purpose of snapshots and how they can be used to restore virtual machines to
previous states if needed.

Answer:

Snapshots: It is basically used for restoring the file which is deleted from our
systrem or we can also say that snapshort is also called as restoring point which
help the user to restore the files Snapshots provide a convenient way to create
backup points for your VMs.This is especially useful for testing changes without
risking your VM's integrity.

for using this there are some steps that we need to follow

Step 1:

Create a slax virtual machine and save it with the registration number 12109960
Step 2:

power it off and andOpen VMware Workstation Pro: Launch the VMware
Workstation Pro application if it's not already running.

Step 3:

Right-click on the virtual machine and choose "Snapshot" > "Take Snapshot..."
Give your snapshot a name "A" and to help you identify it later.
and also that I have make an another snapshot with the name "B"

Step 4:

Now i am going to make a text in slax and save it with the name of aditi and also
take a snapshot of this file with the name of "C" .
Step 5:

It is showing with the name of aditi and now i have to delete the file from the slax
.

Step 6:

After deleting it .
Step 7:

From the snapshot i gave to restore the file in the slax it will take some time to
restore of aditi only.

click on ok .
Step 8:

Now it is showing in the file as before.

lastly ,
You can manage your snapshots through the Snapshot Manager, which allows
you to revert to a snapshot, delete snapshots, or create new ones.
