MAJOR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 Monitoring of compliance of safe work procedures, Safe use of scaffolds and ladders, mechanical
isolation, safe work permits system, entry into confined spaces, etc.

 Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports and submit to HSE Manager.

 Monitoring of work practices/conditions carry out safety inspections, internal safety procedural audits,
and safety surveys, safe/at risk observations.

 Assign duties and supervise the down-liners (sub-contractor safety officers).

 Ensure before start the job as per activity all job-related documents are completed, check the job location
is safe for working, if there is any serious hazard as per job eliminate immediately.

 Ensure firefighting safety equipment is available and used where hazard dictate, first aid equipment is
readily available where required and uses the respiratory equipment as per requirement of job.

 Prepare all the project related document such as HSE plans and procedures, risk assessments & JSAs,
incident and near miss reports, weekly and monthly statistical reports, checklists and audit reports, safety
campaigns and record all the inspections and compliance for audit purpose or for the future use.

 Supervise employee’s welfare facilities e.g. camp and living areas, medical facilities (first aid centers and
clinic), warehouse and stores, RO plant and firefighting system etc.

 Attend weekly and regular meetings with client and management team (including safety meetings,
progress meetings, meetings with audit teams, traffic meetings etc.).

 Develop the good safety culture by motivational & safety awareness campaigns, booklets and training.

 Ensure mechanical equipment is in safe working order and that equipment certificates are valid, including
qualified operators.

 Client interaction/communication & HSE audits/ inspections waste management.

 Conduct site inspection, monitoring and checking the Permit to Work compliance, tools, equipment and

 Conduct the toolbox talk’s on weekly & daily bases as pre-requirement of site activities and risks.

 Initiate disciplinary actions against the unsafe working people and violator of safety rules and procedures.

 Keep and up-to date record of all correspondence pertaining to safety.

 Participate in evaluation of employee’s loss control efforts through viable suggestion system.

 Conduct inspection to ensure scaffoldings are made as per the applicable standard and specification.
