Issues)
- Academic Writing from Paragraph to Essay (Macmillan): units 8,9,10,11

Workbooks must be fully completed by students. They are checked by the instructor in class. They
are tested in midterm and final exams.
Students must learn to read the passages correctly and fluently. Their reading is tested and marked.

Writing paragraphs is assigned during the semester. It is also tested in midterm and final exams.
Students are assigned talks on their textbook topics or other topics by choice.

Quizes: Before midterm and final exams.

There will be two listening tests (midterm and final). They make 20% of the scores.
There will be a final oral test.

Final exam covers the whole syllabus.

Evaluation: 20% class activity

30% midterm (20 pts listening + 80 pts. written test)
50% finals (20 pts. listening + 20 pts. oral + 60 pts. written test)
