UNIT - I 1, (a) State role of Power Electronics Devices in engineering applications. (3) (b) Explain construction, working principle of a power BUT. Explain working & draw circuit configuration in respect of single phase two pulse controlled mid point converter. Derive expression of average out put voltage & current for R and R-L series load. (12) 4. For a single phase full controlled converter using RLE series type of load, the power is delivered by AC source of 230 volts, 50 Hz. The values of load circuit elements are R=6ohm, L=6milihenry and E= 60 Volts. Find the average value of load current for a firing angle delay of 50 degree.
