SIGNAL WORDS
• help the readers see which important details will be developed in a
sequential pattern
• indicate order
• tell what is to happen
• use for arranging events
DIRECTIONS
• provide a guide on how to perform or finish an action.
• Once followed properly they will give positive results.
• In writing directions using signal words, always put comma (,) after each
signal word.
• In writing directions, it is important to use clear steps to help someone
finish a task properly and can help avoid accidents and problems along
the way.
