TABACO CITY
Introduction
Tabaco City is a 4th class component city in the province of Albay, Philippines.
According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 140,961 people and it is one of the
seventeen municipalities in the province of Albay. Classified as a third class municipality with
a population of 85,697 and a land area of 12,210.4 hectares. It is located on the eastern
coast of Albay Province, which is in turn located at the center of Bicol Region and it is also
know as "city of love".
Morever, the city is composed of 47 barangays: 21 urban and 26 rural. The
household population of Tabaco in the 2015 Census was 133,508 broken down into 27,702
households or an average of 4.82 members per household. The population of Tabaco grew
from 21,946 in 1903 to 140,961 in 2020, an increase of 119,015 people over the course of
117 years. The latest census figures in 2020 denote a positive growth rate of 1.09%, or an
increase of 7,093 people, from the previous population of 133,868 in 2015.

Its Eco-activities
- In eco-activities, our locality is producing products including banig, tabak, bag that made of
banig, and abaca, supplying water in Tabaco City Water District or also known as TAWAD
and Electric Utility Provider of Albay Power and Energy Corporation or also known as APEC ,
buying goods including foods, clothes and any other needs of people , selling various
products, built their own shops, and the consumption of goods and services that our locality
totally need.

Our locality is producing products including banig, tabak, bags that are made of banig, and
abaca. Supplying water in Tabaco City Water District or TAWAD, and the electric utility
provider of Albay Power and Energy Corporation or APEC. Purchasing goods such as foods,
clothes, and other people's needs. Selling various products. Building their own shops, and
consuming goods and services that our community desperately needs.

Source of Income
In source of income, our locality used any kind of transportation like padyak and tricycle so
some of people used it as their source of income. Fishing, farming, Business, teaching.

Emloyment opportunities
-As I just noticed, the employment opportunities have our locality are lifeguard , meat
merchandiser in lcc supermarket, saleslady, Branch secretary,

CREATED NEEDS
1. Toilet bowl to toilet bowl with sink
PROCESS: The toilet bowl have sink on top and the toilet and sink communicating between
each other with the water used being recycled between the fixtures. For instance, the water
you use to wash your hands can then be recycled and used to flush the toilet.
JUSTIFICATIONS: This product can preserve water, cost-efficient ,and perfect solution for
small spaces intended for a toilet and sink.

2. A water bottle with compartments

PROCESS: This made of metal, plastic, or glass that is used to hold drinks and have a
seperate holder to keep important stuff including money, keys, and any other small material.
JUSTIFICATIONS: This is convenient to use since you can put your small things inside of it
and drink water at the same time. This can also be useful for travelers or cyclists since some
of them only bring water bottles, so at least they can put their important things inside of the
product, and it can also save people from holdaper.

3. Backpack with built-in hoodie

PROCESS: This product will be made of cotton and quality fabric with a waterproof hoodie
on the top of the bag, and each individual part of the backpack is stitched together using a
sewing machine. It is also used to carry your things safely with a waterproof hoodie that is
near on the top grab handle of the backpack.
JUSTIFICATIONS: This product will be useful on rainy days in case you forgot to bring your
umbrella and if you are unable to get your umbrella inside your bag quickly enough for
unexpected rain, and it reduces congestion if your bag is already full of stuff.

4. Powerbank to solar powerbank

PROCESS: it is energy storage device that obtains energy from the sun and uses it to
charge/power various electronic gadgets like cellphone, tablets and any other devices.
JUSTIFICATIONS: This solar power bank uses the sun to charge itself instead of mains
electricity and this will store power and charge other devices on the go when needed.
Thus,you’re able to save some money on your monthly electrical bills since this thing help
reduce and greenify your power consumption when charging your electronic devices and it
allows you to charge your phone anytime and anywhere.

5. Rice cooker to multicooker

PROCESS: This multicooker has a cooker pot under it to cook the rice and cookware on top
to cook the dish at the same time. It will also have a holding button for you to control the
temperature and adjust the cook time.

POSSIBLE MATERIAL TO BE USED:

-Made from stainless steel or cast iron (like aluminum or copper) with a non-stick coating on
top (like Teflon or ceramic) and wire.

JUSTIFICATIONS:
-This product is helpful for saving time and money, comfortable to use, saving space in the
kitchen,ease of maintenance, and low power consumption .
EXISTING NEEDS
1. Kettle to electric kettle
PROCESS: Electric kettles are made predominately of steel, iron, silver, aluminum, or a combination of
plastic and metal. It is use to boil water so fast with the use of electricity. To use this thing, you just
need to filling the kettle with water, plugging the kettle and put it in the right place, and turn the
kettle on to serve hot water.
((In kettles, Kettles are typically made with stainless steel, but can also be made from copper or other
metals.))
JUSTIFICATIONS: This electric kettle is more convenient since it can boil water faster than the
traditional kettle and it saves time, more safe, and automatic shut off.

3. Charcoal iron to electric iron

PROCESS: it draws electricity from the mains and heats a coil inside. This heat is then transferred to
the bottom plate, which is pressed against the clothing to remove wrinkles. Compared to charcoal
iron, it has a container inside its base where burning charcoal is placed to heat it up. The holes that
line the base allow air to circulate and keep the charcoal embers burning.

(Advantage: heat-resistance, toughness, and malleability.

Disadvantage: being rather smoky, it was difficult to get a sufficient draft to keep the coals burning.)
(Their difference: Coal iron uses coal as the source of heat, electric iron uses electricity.)

JUSTIFICATIONS:
Electric iron is clean and convenient, removes the bad smells, leaving no smoky smells or sooty marks
on clothing as old-fashioned irons did and heats up in just minutes so that you can iron the wrinkles
away from your clothes easily.

4. Old desktop computer to modern desktop computer

PROCESS: Modern desktop computer is a digital electronic machine that use for business, education,
research, medical field, entertainment and etc. than the early computers were meant to be used only
for calculations and old school-gaming. (Plants vs. zombie)
JUSTIFICATIONS: It is more convenient since modern computers have a larger memory and can run
several and more complex programs at once and the size of computers has decreased by a huge
amount making computers very easy to carry around.
The graphics of modern computers have been developed so much that they look like real life.
The speed of computers has increased by a lot and know you can download a full length movie in
about 5 minutes.
