No, when I encounter unfamiliar words, I look in dictionary for its meaning so that I will
understand what the word/s mean.
How do you give meaning to an unfamiliar word without using any available resources?
I look in the words surround it and to how it used in the sentence.

I think the strategy that might consider that I did is reading it by sentence and look on how it was
used in the sentence, by that I easily discover what is the meaning of the word.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED

Now I know about the context clues.
First, I learned that context clues are words or bits of information in the surrounding text
that might be used to derive the meaning of an unknown word.
Second, I learned that there are five types of context clues. The five types of
context clues are definition or restatement, example, synonyms, antonyms and inferring
meaning.
I realized that the unfamiliar words become easy to understand by using
context clues.
Lastly, I learned to value and give appreciation for our local
culture.
