Procurement function has evolved as a major value adding business process. As a

result , most of the organizations have centralized the sourcing function., and
developed key processes , controls to drive value additions.

However, there is an increasing trend in control breakdowns , violation of procedures ,

non compliance ,and major frauds.

You are expected to review a published business case related to procurement

fraud ,capture the learnings and make recommendations.

– Review the business case/ impact to the organization.

– Highlight the nature of the fraud

– Identify control breakdown/ weaknesses

– Recommendation to prevent such incidents.
