1 Introduction

Compañia de Minas Buenaventura S.A.A. (from now on, “CMBSAA”) has engaged Ausenco
Perú S.A.C. (from now on, “Ausenco”) to develop the San Gabriel Project located north of
Moquegua city, in Ichuña District in the Province of General Sanchez Cerro.

The project consists of an underground mine, process plant, ancillary buildings and
associated infrastructure. The process plant comprises of primary crushing, grinding,
gravimetric concentration, intensive cyanidation, leaching, cyanide detoxification, ZADRA
system, and tailings filtering areas to produce dore bars.

2 Scope

This specification defines the requirements for the Vendor to furnish complete and
operational Low Voltage Induction Motor including all necessary accessories and associated
components indicated in this document and reference documents for the EP Phase 1 - San
Gabriel Project.

It is not intended that Vendor depart from their standard design, however, any deviations from
this Specification shall be listed and explained in the proposal. The lack of such a listing shall
indicate that no deviations exist.

This document excludes the design requirements for the main substation.

3 General Requirements

3.1 Site Conditions

The equipment to be supplied, installed and commissioned at CMBSAA’s San Gabriel Gold
Plant, shall consider the site conditions specified in the Site Conditions Design Criteria,
document N° 104688-EM-00000-22222-001.

The Vendor is advised to pay special attention to the site’s high altitude (4 850 m.a.s.l.) effect
on electrical equipment. The reduced cooling / dielectric capabilities of the air at the site’s
altitude adversely affect operating temperatures, insulation, continuous current, operating
voltage, spacing between components and Basic Insulation Level (BIL).

3.2 Design Life

The equipment covered by this specification shall consider a design life of 15 years, as
minimum.

3.3 Units

The units to be used in the Project will be according to the international System of Units (SI).

The period (.) will be used as the decimal indicator and the space ( ) to indicate the thousands.
