I. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, learners are expected to:


1. Differentiate active and passive voices of the verb 
2. Transform statements from active to passive voice and  vice
versa 
3. Use active and passive voices in varied contexts 
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of: pre-colonial 
Philippine literature as a means of connecting to the past;
various  reading styles; ways of determining word meaning; the
sounds of  English and the prosodic features of speech; and
correct subject verb agreement. 
B. Performance The learner transfers learning by: showing appreciation for the

appropriate  reading styles; participating in conversations using
appropriate  context-dependent expressions; producing English
sounds  correctly and using the prosodic features of speech
effectively in  various situations; and observing correct subject-

A. Introduction Introduction

 A quick review from the past lesson.





 Act
i vate the

student’s knowledge about the topic by presenting a


situation to unlock the topic of the day!

 Call students to give their answer on what they see in the


presentation. Then, unlock the topic which is ACTIVE
AND PASSIVE VOICE

Goal Orientation: Share the objectives and present the topic


that will be discussed.

B. Development

 Start the discussion with defining what is VOICE OF THE


VERB, ACTIVE VOICE, AND PASSIVE VOICE

 Proceed to giving example to the two voices of the verb.


 Ask them, “what is the difference between the two?”
Then, discuss
 Present a list of examples in each type to furtherly
differentiate each other.
C. Engagement
ENGLISH CHALLENGE: DIFFERENT GENRE EDITION

Direction: A series of questions will be presented, the student


who raised their hand will be the one to answer the questions. If
correct, the students will be given a point.

The students who participate will receive an extra point.


D. Assimilation
COMPREHENSION CHECK!

Direction: The students will work as a pair. Each pair will think
of  their favorite dish. They will write the ingredients and
procedures to be taken in preparing it. For each step, they will
identify if it is in passive or active voice. Then, transform each
statement from active to passive and   vice-versa. 

V.REFLECTION
The students will answer a 10 item quiz about passive  and
active voice through the link given to them by the  teacher.

 8. Her good deeds are rewarded by her parents.  
9. Their family will receive financial support from the 
government.  
 10. The petition will be submitted by the lawyer to the 
 prosecutor.
