CREATIVE NONFICTION

The distinctions between literary art (fiction, poetry) and research nonfiction are
combined by creative nonfiction (statistical, fact-filled, run of the mill journalism).
It is writing that uses the same literary devices as fiction, such as setting, voice/tone,
character creation, etc., consisting of the true or facts. This makes it distinct from
traditional nonfiction writing (more "creative").
Creative nonfiction should: (1) include precise and well-researched information; (2) keep
the reader's interest; and (3) potentially blur the realms of reality and fiction in a pleasant
literary style (while remaining grounded in fact).
HYPER POETRY
Hyperpoetry is a type of digital poetry that uses hypertext-mark-up links. It's a really
visual medium, linked to hypertext fiction and visual arts. Links mean that a hypertext
poem does not have a fixed order, a poem that moves or is created in response to the links
that the reader/user chooses.
It may either include a collection of words, phrases, lines, etc. that are presented in
variable order but sit on the page as conventional poetry does, or it may include sections
of a poem that moves and/or mutates. It is typically found online, although CD-ROM and
disk versions are available. The first references date back to the mid-1980’s at the latest.
