Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions") will govern the use of this website,
including the web-account ("i-Get in touch") granted by Great Eastern Takaful Berhad ("GETB") to
you. Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully before accessing and using this website.

1. ACCESS AND USE

1. By viewing, accessing and using this website, you agree to be bound by the Terms
and Conditions, GETB’s Client Charter & Customer Service Charter, Privacy Policy
and Personal Data Protection Notice (available

2. If you do not agree to the Terms and Conditions, please discontinue from accessing
and using this website immediately.

3. GETB is entitled, from time to time, to vary, add or otherwise amend information,
material, function or content provided in this website, the Terms and Conditions or
any part thereof with or without notice. Where the variation or amendment in GETB’s
sole opinion, of a substantial nature and materially affects your access to this
website, a seven (7) days prior written notice will be provided, unless GETB is
unable to do so due to circumstances beyond GETB’s reasonable control. Please
visit this website periodically to determine any variation or amendment. The
prevailing Terms and Conditions updated on this website will apply and supersede all
previous versions. Continued use of i-Get in touch following any changes constitutes
an acceptance of those changes. If you do not accept the Terms and Conditions
(including any changes), please discontinue your access and use of i-Get in touch.

2. YOUR CONDUCT

1. Your access to this website shall at all times be in compliance with any guidelines,
directions from GETB or any law, regulations or legislation as may be applicable and
you agree that you shall not abuse or misuse this website or the services herein, in
any way.

2. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, you shall not nor assist any other
person to hack into or obtain unauthorised access to this website or any services
herein or interfere with the access and use of the same by others. You agree that
you shall not carry out nor assist any other person to transmit communication,
information or materials which adversely affects GETB’s rights or the rights of others,
which is morally offensive, adversely affects GETB’s internet takaful system or the
security of GETB’s internet takaful system or which is otherwise against the law.

3. In the event you breach any of the provision to the Terms and
Conditions, GETB reserves the rights to restrict, suspend or terminate your i-Get in
touch.

3. PASSWORD CONFIDENTIALITY
 1. You may apply to subscribe to i-Get in touch through this website (or any other
application channels made available by GETB from time to time) in which you are
required to go through a registration process by entering certain information as may
be required by GETB. GETB will forward to you your default password for first-time
log in.

2. Upon receiving the default password from GETB, you will be required to follow the
on-screen guided steps, including acknowledging that you have read and accepted
this Clause 3, in order to complete the registration process.

3. Upon successful registration your access to this website will be activated when you
key in the correct member ID and one-time password which will be sent to you.

4. You must not reveal the one-time password ("Security Code") delivered by Short
Message Service ("SMS") to your mobile phone or otherwise generated by or
delivered by any other means as GETB may designate from any time to any other
party and shall take all steps as may be necessary to prevent the disclosure of your
Security Code to any other party. You shall immediately notify GETB if (a) you have
any reason to believe that the confidentiality of your Security Code has been
compromised or has been used in an unauthorised manner and/or (b) there has
been any loss, theft, replacement or change of your mobile phone number used to
generate the Security Code.

5. For security purposes, GETB may, at its absolute discretion, require you to key in an

OTP to perform selected transactions or to use certain services available under this
website. You may perform the transactions and/or use the services available under
this website only if such Member ID, password and OTP is and remains
valid. GETB may at any time in its sole and absolute discretion invalidate the
Member ID, Password and OTP without assigning any reason and without prior
notice and shall not be liable or responsible for any loss or damage suffered by or
caused to the Customer or arising out of or connected or by reason of such
invalidation.

6. You may change your password from time to time, following which, your access to i-
Get in touch will be by the new password.

7. You acknowledge that you have read and agree with the terms and conditions
of GETB’s Client Charter & Customer Service Charter, Privacy Policy, and Personal
Data Protection Notice.

4. IMPORTANT DOs and DON'Ts

1. You should not share your member identification ("Member ID"), password or OTP
with any other person. If you know or have reason to suspect that your password has
been compromised or used by another person without your consent, you must
change your password and inform GETB immediately.

2. You should never display your i-Get in touch information in an area visible to others.

3. Your PC or other device by which you access this website should never be left
unattended.

4. Clear the cache memory after use to clear private information stored within.

5. GETB will never ask you for your Member ID and password through email. Report
back to GETB should you receive such an email.
 6. It is your responsibility to keep your Internet Browser up to date with the latest
security updates. GETB will not be responsible for any computer viruses, malware,
malicious code or software or bugs which may be due to internet services provided
by any internet service provider.

7. If you access your i-Get in touch through a public computer, this may expose your
account to viruses and malicious software.

8. Your registration to use and access this website will constitute your agreement to
and receipt of this Clause 4 as well as your acknowledgement and acceptance of the
inherent risk in conducting any transaction over the Internet. You are liable for all
instructions and transactions carried out through the use of your Member ID and
password to access your i-Get in touch whether or not authorized by you. We will not
be liable to you when we act on such instructions in good faith. If we act on such
instructions, we will not verify the origin or authenticity of such instructions. Once we
receive such instructions, they will be treated as irrevocable and binding on you
whether or not there is any error or forgery or fraud concerning such instructions. We
may (will not be obliged to) cancel any instructions given under your Member ID and
password without any liability if we know or have reason to believe that a criminal
act, a fraudulent act, offence or breach of any regulation or legislation will be or has
been committed. We may refuse or stop carrying out any or all instructions or reverse
any actions carried out arising from your instructions if we are of the opinion that
such instructions are unlawful, not properly authorized by you or for any other reason
whatsoever. We have the right to require confirmation in writing of any transaction
from you. You agree that in all the situations stated above, we will not be liable for
any resulting damages and losses. Any instruction given by you for and in relation to
your i-Get in touch will be carried out in the normal course of business. We do not
warrant that any instruction will be carried out within a particular time period or in any
particular order. In addition to any other provisions set out in this clause, GETB will
not be liable to you if you:

a. fail to comply with the Terms and Conditions;

b. disregard the security measures which you must or ought reasonably to take;
or
c. fail to take precautions when using the internet to access your i-Get in touch.
5. DISCLAIMER

The following clauses exclude or limit GETB’s legal liability for this website. You should read
them carefully.

1. The information and materials including those on services, products, financial

information, data, text, graphics, audio, video, links or other items are provided
strictly 'as is', and 'as available' basis and is so provided for your information and
reference only. GETB does not warrant the accuracy, adequacy or completeness or
reasonableness of such information and materials and expressly disclaims liability for
errors or omissions in such information and materials.

2. Where links to other websites which are not under GETB’s control are
provided, GETB will not be responsible for the use, effect or content of such

10. INDEMNITY

1. You irrevocably agree to indemnify and keep GETB indemnified from and against all
liabilities, claims, damages, losses, whether directly or indirectly caused and
expenses, including any legal fees on a full indemnity basis, that may be incurred
by GETB or any member thereof in connection with or arising from:-

your i-Get in touch accessed by way of your Member ID and password;
e. the improper or unauthorised use of your i-Get in touch;
f. any act or omission by any internet service provider;
g. any delay or failure in transmission, dispatch or communication facilities;
h. any access (or inability or delay in accessing) and / or use of any browser to
allow access to your i-Get in touch or for any defect in any such browser.
11. WAIVER

1. Failure of GETB to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these terms and
conditions shall not constitute a waiver or limit, prejudice or impair their right to take
any action or to exercise any right as against you or render GETB responsible for
any loss or damage arising therefrom of such right or provision.

12. SEVERABILITY

1. If any part of these Terms and Conditions are deemed invalid or unenforceable
pursuant to any law, which is applicable to GETB, then the invalid and unenforceable
provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most
closely matches the intent of the original provision, without invalidating any other
provisions of the terms and conditions herein.

13. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
