    NAME 4175 Homework #8

    Spring Semester 2019 Stability

    Purpose

    To present a snapshot of where each group is with respect to their stability analysis.

    Format

    Drawing, Excel spreadsheet, and oral presentation. Each group, or a designated speaker
    will present to the class a snapshot of where their group is with respect to subject design
    task.

    Due

    Monday, March 25 during the regularly scheduled class.

    Drawing Requirements

    1. Intact stability analysis


    2. Damaged stability analysis

    Word document narrative with supporting calculations (Excel, GHS, others…)

    Discussion Requirements

    The presenter(s) should summarize the current state of their stability analysis including
    discussion of methodology, assumptions, governing rules and criteria, damage extents,
    compartmentation & subdivision, loading conditions, mass properties, free surface
    corrections, analysis, results, etc.

    Grading
    Grading will be based on quality of the presented material and discussion along with the
    presenter’s demonstration of knowledge with respect to the subject matter.
