PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS), the shipping and marine logistics

subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, is seeking international
partners to help develop and manage LNG terminals.

PIS President Director Yoki Firnandi said that this is part of the company’s long-
term strategy to expand its LNG transportation business.

“The PIS business line is not only shipping, but also marine logistics and
managing terminals. The business potential for building new terminals and marine
logistics in Indonesia is still huge. However, we are also exploring new business
potentials internationally to build terminals. Currently we are exploring cooperation
with several potential partners. For example, we are exploring cooperation with
Korea for an LNG receiving terminal facility. Also, in the US for an LNG export
facility. That is our long term plan,” said Yoki as broadcasted on the YouTube
Channel of Bloomberg on Tuesday.

Currently, almost one hundred percent of the PIS transportation business is

related to fuel oil, LPG and crude oil.

Yoki said that the LNG transportation business is projected to continue growing,
especially in the Middle East and in the US. He predicts that LNG transportation
will experience a shortage starting in 2026. Therefore, PIS will strengthen its
portfolio in the LNG business line.

“This year we will open bids for the construction of 2 to 4 LNG vessels. This is a
multi-year investment,” said Yoki.
