ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
Gawad Kalinga High School conducted the monthly LAC Session in the 14 th day of January 2023 at
exactly 7:30 in the morning at SHS Building - Computer Laboratory. The program was commenced with
singing of the nationalistic song led by Ma’am Nancy B. De Mesa, an invocation led by Ma’am

To energize us upon beginning the session, Ma’am Isabel S. Cabarle, a Junior High School teacher
prepared an energizer. Afterwards, participants are asked to take a picture before the session proper begun.
To start the program, Sir Dennis introduced the first speaker that will discuss “Lecture-Workshop:
Inviting Leaders to Ensure the Mental Health and Well-Being of Teachers and Learners”, Ma’am Melba Angela
R. Arciga - Guidance Councilor at JPNHS. She started her talk by showing her appreciation to GKHS Faculty
& Staff for inviting her as one of the speakers for today.

The happiest people in life are the givers not the receivers according to Ma’am Melba that is why she
was happy to share her knowledge about the topic given to her. She let her participants do the “Kamusta Ka”
activity in which we are going to touch some parts of our body if there are any lumps in it. It allows us to check
how well we are. After that she made us do one of the activities in LIKHA. After the activity she asked why we
chose those colors and the feelings behind while we are working on it.
The next discussant was Ma’am Janice A. Manois - SHS Teacher at GKHS who talk about Foundational
Course on Adolescent Health and Capacity Building on School Mental Program. She started her session with

The 3rd discussant was Ma’am Emalyn B. Mago - JHS Teacher at GKHS that will discuss “Basic Life
Support & First Aid Awareness”. What is Basic Life Support? A short Course for young people to learn how to
deal with first aid emergencies. She talked about DRS ABC which means danger, response, shout, airways,
breathing and CPR. It can help people who are choking, drowning, or are suffering from cardiac arrest and it an
make the difference between life and death for some people. At a very basic level, BSL involves securing the
