As proof of watching the video, submit a type written

(higher points) or scanned hand written (lower points)
document of the contents of the video that you have
watched.

Environment refers to the whole of all living and non-

living things as well as their influences on human life.
Biotic elements are human, animals, bacteria, plants,
forests, fisheries, fungi, and birds. Abiotic elements
include water, land, sunlight, rocks, and air.

Environmental science provides an overview of how

science affects our environment. The (3) main objectives
of environmental science:

1. To learn how the natural world functions.

2. How people interact with the environment.
3. How to deal with environmental issues and implement
science-based solutions.

Natural resources are goods produced by the Earth's

natural resources to sustain life and provide for human
needs. There are (2) types of sources:

1. Renewable resources are the resources that can never

be depleted with continuous use.
2. Non-renewable resources are the resources that get
exhausted with their extraction and use.
Ecosystem services are described as the direct and indirect
benefits that ecosystems provide to people's quality of life
and survival. There are (4) types of ecosystem services:
1. Provisioning
2. Regulating
3. Cultural
4. Supporting

Human Population on Earth As of 2023, 8 billion humans are

living on Earth. Two Revolution that helped us increase our
population are:
1. Agricultural Revolution - made it easier and more likely for
people to survive, raise their children, and support
themselves.
2. Industrial Revolution - fossil fuels (oil, gas, and coal) were
used and have made sanitation and medical much better.
Fertilizers and pesticides boost crop yields, enabling us to
feed more people.

Resource consumption refers to how much of any natural or

synthetic resource a people uses, including water, energy,
oil, and other resources.

Over population may result in excessive resource use.

Human population growth has surpassed Earth's ability to
sustain our needs. Sadly, others do not replenish what they
have consumed while we use renewable resources quicker
than they can be replenished.
Your List down from at least five (5) to ten
(10) essential ideas, techniques or ideas you
have learned from this activity.

Environment is everything that surrounds us;

whether it is biotic or abiotic.
There are 4 spheres that complete the earth:
lithosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and
biosphere.
All 4 spheres interact with each other.
Natural resources are useful things that are
obtained from the environment.
Human activities disrupt the interaction of the
spheres that cause disasters.
It is essential for every individual to save and
protect our environment.
Our environment can provide us with the food we
eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink and
irrigate our crops with.
Ecosystems change over time through a process
called ecological succession
