Event: Gokul Ashtami and Raksha Bandhan celebration

29th August 2023 (Tuesday)

Dear Parents and Students,
Greetings!!!!

‘Festivals are a significant part of Indian culture. It provides a forum for the presentation of
our values and emotions.’

Let us come together to remember Lord Krishna, the eighth

avatar of Vishnu. Janmashtami is celebrated on the occasion of
the birth of Lord Sri Krishna. It is believed that Lord Krishna took
birth to fight the evil powers on earth.

Rakhi signifies the everlasting love between the siblings. Brothers

and sisters of all ages celebrate ‘Raksha Bandhan’. Furthermore,
it strengthens the bond between them as well. ‘Raksha’
translates to ‘protection’ and ‘Bandhan’ translates to bond.

We, the tiny lads of Grade 1 will dress up as little ‘Krishnas’ and
the lasses will come decked up as ‘Radhas’ to join in the
celebration.

The little ones of Grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 will wear a decent

traditional attire to grace these celebrations to make it the most memorable day.

 There will be an Art activity for Grades 1 and 2.

 Grades 3, 4 and 5 will have an Art contest.
The details of these activities will be shared soon…

Regards,
