Day Wise Itinerary

Day 01: IXB Airport – Phuentsholing (167 km / 4 hrs)

Welcome to the Bagdogra Airport. Our representative will receive and assist you with your vehicle. Start
your exciting trip to Bhutan. The drive to Phuentsholing is through the numerous tea estates of Bengal.
You will come across the wildlife sanctuaries of Gorumara and Jaldapara. Overnight stay will be at
Phuentsholing.
 
Day 02: Phuentsholing – Thimphu (184 km / 4.5 hrs)
After breakfast, complete the immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) the capital city
of Bhutan. Check in at the hotel. In the evening, visit the Tashichho Dzong. Overnight stay will be at
Thimphu.
 
Day 03: Thimphu Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue), National Memorial Chorten & Folk Heritage
Museum. In the afternoon, visit Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery, and Takin Preserve
Centre. Overnight stay will be at Thimphu.
 
Day 04: Thimphu – Punakha Sightseeing (68km / 3 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Punakha. Enroute stop at Dochu-La-Pass to view the higher Himalayas. Arrive at
Punakha. Check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Punakha Dzong - built in 1637.  Visit the Chhimi
Lhakhang - also known as “The Temple of Fertility''. Evening is free for leisure.  Overnight stay will be at
Punakha.
 
Day 05: Punakha – Paro Sightseeing (135 km / 4 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Paro. Enroute stop at Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Park. Check in at the
hotel. In the afternoon visit Ta Dzong - National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics,
religious thangkha, etc. Rinpung Dzong - Meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels". The dzong now
serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay will be at
Paro.
 
Day 06: Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast, hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery - called “Tiger’s Nest” (2hrs hike from the base
camp). Later visit Drukgyel Dzong & Kyichu Monastery. Overnight stay will be at Paro.
 
Day 07: Paro – Phuentsholing (190 km / 6 hrs)
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Phuentsholing. Check in at the hotel. Overnight
stay will be at Phuentsholing.
 
Day 08: Phuentsholing – IXB Airport (167 km / 4 hrs)
After breakfast check out from the hotel and take the departure transfer to IXB Airport.
