pressure from an electrical circuit's power source that pushes  charged electrons (current)
through a conducting loop, enabling them to do work such as  illuminating a light.
___________3. It’s a flow of electricity in an electrical circuit.

The learners will be asked to reflect based on the results of their pre-test using  reflective
journals.
What is in?

This is how Resistance, Current and Voltage discovered,

George Simon Ohm, a German scientist, discovered in 1826

the relations among  Resistance, Current and Voltage. The
discovery led to one of the major laws in electricity  called Ohm’s
Law. Each of the elements has its own unit of measurement, volt for
voltage,  ampere for current, ohm for resistance. Volt is named after
Alessandro Volta, a physicist  whose invention made volt as an
electrical pressure needed in allowing one ampere of  current pass
through resistance of one ohm. Another inventor, named Andre
Marie  Ampere, a physicist and Mathematician, whose one ampere
of current is the rate of flow  of charge passing in a wire conductor
that is equal to one coulomb per second.

Unit of Measurement, Abbreviation and Symbol

Relationships of Current, Resistance and Voltage.

Voltage is an electrical pressure, which forces the electric

charges (electrons) to  move in an electrical circuit. To understand
the concept of voltage, consider a water pump  which is pumping the
water. The pump pushes the water to flow in the pipes. The pump
acts like the voltage and the water acts like charges. However, it is
not necessary that  when the voltage is applied, the electric charges
will flow (current). Charges need a  complete closed path to flow.
Electric current is the number of electrons flowing through a
point in a circuit. To  understand the concept of electric current,
consider a water pump which is pumping the  water. The water flow
to the pipe because of the water pump. The water act like an
electrical charge that push by the voltage to flow on an electric
circuit.
Resistance is part of a circuit that tries to stop/slowing the
flow of electricity. As  shown in the picture above, the constrictions is
slowing the flow of water like the resistor  which made to reduce the
flow of electricity in a circuit.

What is it?

To completely understand the reading of Resistance, Voltage and

Current lets analyse  the circuit below.

Analyse the Electrical Circuit, based on their unit of measurement and unit of
abbreviation, can you identify what is the value of Volts, Resistance and Current?

What is it?
The students should also know on how to keep and do the proper
maintenance of the  electrical measuring instruments.

Proper care and maintenance of the multi tester.

∙ Read manual of instructions on how to operate the multi tester.

∙ In reading the amount of voltage, always start with the highest
range to avoid  reading voltage higher than the tester setting.
∙ Be sure that the tester is set to the correct range setting: resistance
range when  measuring the ohm, voltage range when measuring
voltage and ammeter range  when measuring the value of electric
current.
∙ Always check the condition of its battery. Worn out batteries will
damage the  internal setting of the tester.
∙ When the tester is not in used or will be stored, set the selector
switch to 1000V or  to OFF position.
∙ Never drop the tester.
When reading a Multi-tester, these are the key points on how to read multi tester.

How to read the meter scale of the multi tester

To read the resistance range of the multi tester, the
given table below will be  used. The unit of measurement to be
used to determine its resistance is ohm. The will watch this
video for sample reading in multi-tester in resistance. Link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVWH0mrseIs
And, when you are going to read the volts, you need to set the
selector switch  into volts and the table below will serve as a
guide in reading it measurement.
