2. Executive Summary
Techno Brain along is pleased to submit our Proposal and capabilities for the Machine to Machine /
Internet of Things Engagement for Ethio Telecom.
Techno Brain, a Pan African company is one of Africa’s leading ICT Software Services, BPO ITES and IT
Training Company, delivering complex IT projects to government, private and not-for-profit

services with a revenue sharing model.

4. Our Understanding of Scope

We understand that the Ethio telecom is in the process of building an IoT/ M2M ecosystem and deliver
end to end solution in partnership with platform and service providers with broad range of expertise
and solutions. To achieve this broad objective, Ethio telecom has developed a comprehensive IoT
roadmap with an incremental implementation approach towards an End to End service delivery.
The engagement will bring Ethio telecom and partners capabilities together in a single, integrated
delivery model. Hence, we are responding our proposal with the our detailed IoT and similar capabilities
that Ethio Telecom can leverage by partnering with us. This partnership will bring the various benefits
like overcome capability gaps, reduce time to market by levering partnership model.
Techno Brain will bring in decades of experience of delivering IoT/M2M project to various customers
across the world. The experts who all trained and experienced in similar services will handle the projects
in association with the valuable input facilitated by Ethio Telecom as a part of this initiative.
4.1 Scope
The IoT service provider will engage with Ethio Telecom to provide the end to end IoT services with
deep technical expertise and support.
IoT Partner are required to submit a product information (for product information please refer Section
6 of this document) and strategy on the potential areas mentioned below. The list is not intended to be
exhaustive and responders are encouraged to share additional areas that can be monetized and

solution that can address one, some or all the areas above. The areas should not be restricted to the
above ones and additional areas can be included depending on market potential and segment maturity.

5. Proposed Offerings
5.1 Introduction
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a grid of things (objects/sensors) that contain embedded software to
communicate and interact with their internal states or the external environment. These IoT Sensors have
ability to collect and transfer data over a network without manual intervention. The connecting of assets,
processes and personnel enables individuals/ enterprises in learning the behavior and usage, achieve
predictive analytics and reengineer business processes. The IoT is a foundational capability for the
creation of a digital business.
With dynamically changing requirements on the daily operational activities, it has become evident that
we make use of technology and leverage on the strengths of connected devices for providing operational
managers, back office analytics team with more data points. These data points are available in today’s
world from various channels / medium.
• The IoT offers opportunities for variety of use cases. IoT solutions can be very different,
depending on objectives, technology and infrastructure, but they have a lot in common.

business case. The subscription charges of the Smart Fleet Management Software are attached
in this document at last. The subscription price only includes the platform (Software) cost.
• Cost projections are highly dependent on Hardware (device) cost. Hence, in absence of knowing
the number of devices it cannot be projected.
• Details commercial, co-marketing and GTM strategy will be discussed with Ethio Telecom
• Deployment models will be discussed with Ethio Telecom based on each of the use cases and
customer requirements.
• Delivery timelines will be defined based on the cases. Delivery Timelines are mostly depended
