II. Goals and Objectives

The overall aim of the seminar is to give awareness on WASH in School
(WinS) Program, to promote proper hygiene and sanitation, and to create a healthy
and disease-free environment.
Specifically, the participants are expected to:
d) enhance awareness regarding WinS program
e) provide adequate knowledge and understanding on how to prevent
COVID-19 and other disease-causing microorganisms;
f) build a healthy and COVID-free environment through proper
handwashing

III. Highlights of the activity

Each adviser was instructed to conduct the activity inside their

respective classroom to keep the students intact. They were provided
materials including videos to help them discussed the topic. There are
advisers printed the provided handouts and distribute it to their students for
them to have a copy especially to those classrooms that don’t have television
to watch the provided videos.

IV. Lessons learned

Handwashing is one of the most important things that we can to avoid

getting sick. It also helps to prevent the spread of germs, especially during a
public health pandemic like Coronavirus (COVID-19). Through this activity
we help students to have adequate knowledge and understanding on how to
apply and prevent themselves from the virus. And most importantly they will
build a healthy and COVID-free environment through applying the proper
hand washing.

V. Suggestions and recommendations

It goes with a saying “There is always room for improvement”.

My suggestion and recommendation, Advisers should be more aware about
the program of the WINS (WASH in SCHOOLS) so that it would be easy for
them to encourage learners to participate in each activity provided by the
school.
