I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the learners are expected to:
a. Discuss the process of communication
b. Explain communication as a transaction
c. Appreciate the importance of responsible communication

IV. Procedure

A. Before the Lesson


1. Checking of Attendance
2. Review: Definition of Communication and Elements of communication
3. Present objectives for the day.

B. Lesson Proper
1. Activity 1
o The students will be divided into a group with 3 members.
o Using their assignments (photos of communication) they will share to
the group how the communication happens in the picture. As a group,
they have to come up with an illustration or diagram of the
communication process.
o Ask the students to present their output in the class.
o Process their answers. Lead them to the day’s lesson – communication
as a transaction.
2. Allow the students to focus on the statement “Any communication
involves a transaction” and eventually elicit their thoughts about it.
3. Process their answers. Ask them further to share insights on the
importance of responsible communication.

C. After the Lesson


1. Activity 2
 Each student will identify 3 communication situations and elaborate how they
function as a responsible communicator.
