The two maps show changes of Colwick Arts Centre between 2005 and today. We can see that
the Arts Centre experience many changes during this period, including the erection of buildings
and the transformation of the wasteland into the stage area
In the past, there was only one meeting room. It was relocated in the top left-hand corner, and
in addition, it was divided into two buildings. The Arts Centre now is created a new drama studio
and is located next to the meeting room. The wasteland is used to live planted with trees, built a
stage, and a venue for outdoor exhibitions and performances. In 2005, there was a toilet in the
bottom left-hand corner of the Arts Centre, whereas now the cafe is there.
The concert hall and the cinema were separated and they were built next to each other. Today,
there is a new central exhibition area in the middle of the Arts Centre. What is more, two galleries
are merged into one in the present and this gallery is located next to the cafe. The….was
demolished.
