I'm going to take you back to the five thousand BC where the Egyptians
we're praying to gods like Isis, Hathor ‚Amun and Horus but today I'm going to
telling you about Bastet.Bastet had the head of a cat and a thin female body. She
also was the daughter of Ra, sister of Sekhmet, the wife of Ptah, and the mother of
Mihos and Nerfertem . Since the Second Dynasty, Bastet was worshiped as a goddess,
most commonly in Lower part Egypt. The Egyptians believed She protected the home
from evil spirits and disease, especially diseases associated with women and
children. As with many deities in Egyptian religion, she also played a role in the
afterlife as a guide and helper to the dead although this was not one of her
primary duties.

2. I think that Bastets appearance wasn’t different to most gods and


goddesses because she had a head of a cat and a slender female body.Bastet
personality was said to be strong ,brave ,serious , strong willed,fearless and
courageous. Since the Second Dynasty, Bastet was worshiped as a deity, most
commonly in Lower Egypt. Her form and powers changed over the years. It was
believed that every day she would ride through the sky with her father, the sun god
Ra. As his boat pulled the sun through the sky she would watch over and protect
him.

3. The way the Egyptians praised was Mostly visibly, enormous annual
festivals to honor Bastet were held in her cult center city, Bubastis, involving
raucous celebration and intoxication. In their personal worship, Egyptians also
prayed to Bastet to remove disease and guard the household. Egyptian homes
displayed statues of Bastet to shield against thieves.

they also called her (sorry if a stutter their really hard to say) B’sst, Baast,
Ubaste, Baset.2. She had two children the gods Mehos and Nerfertem.3. Bastet had
two colours that resembled her they were grey and yellow. 4.Bastet also had a
husband which was Ptah.5. And lastly Bastet was also one of the most powerful of
the Ennead.
