    The "Lusog Kusog" Feeding Program held its first two days of action. On the first day at Pagsangahan National High School, nine out of ten beneficiaries were served a healthy lunch including fish, vegetables, and fruit. Students were taught about healthy eating using the Pinggang Pinoy guide. On the second day, the program was held at a student's home where they enjoyed a meal of rice and chicken tinola soup. The teachers ensured student safety by bringing the food to their homes during the pandemic.

    First Day

    “LUSOG KUSOG” Feeding Program


    “Lusog Kusog” Program on their first day of action at Pagsangahan National High School, February 10
    2022. Nine students were present out of the ten beneficiaries. Students were served with a delicious and
    healthy lunch; pritong isda, ginisang balatong and an apple. This meal was prepared to give them most of
    the proper minimum required intake of essential micronutrients that are needed for their health and
    development. They were encouraged to eat healthy and balanced meal by discussing the Pinggang Pinoy
    Guide and the proper food selection or preparation.
    Second Day

    “Lusog Kusog” Program on their second day of action at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Bernabe Heyrana
    in Sitio Magsaysay, February 11, 2022. Today, the students were served with rice and Chicken Tinola. The
    teachers have decided to pack their foods and bring it near to their houses to make sure that they are safe
    from any unwanted accidents when they are outside and to make sure they follow safety protocols. The
    students enjoyed their hot, savory and delicious soup of Chicken Tinola for they crave for another cup of
    rice and soup. It was satisfying to them enjoying their food.
