Well, it has been eight long years since we first appeared. Those were turbulent days
indeed. UK-Fileshare was taken down by its owner, leaving us with no home.

Of course, a few of us decided not to let the dream die, but to revive it and renew it.
Brasse40, Nostradamus and myself, along with a few others who helped, created fsc
(formerly known as FSC). One of our primary concerns was security, so we remained
invite only, never opening our doors to open sign ups.

This paid off as site after site were taken down in the coming months, including the
famous Elite Torrents, who themselves had become bloated with members from other
defunct sites. Meanwhile, we rowed the rough seas of the torrent ocean, and stayed
afloat, mainly due to our own diligence.

Anyway, eight years later, and a few staff lighter, we are still here. Of the three original
founding members, I am the only one left. Mind you, we have had some excellent staff
to replace those that went. No one can forget the legacy that fiftygame left us with his
FUNspace addons, and no one can argue that our current team are keeping abreast of
new developments to bring you a site that is, in my humble opinion, second to none.

Many other sites have emulated what we do here, some with quite some success, but we were always the first. The
Share Index spawned a number of similar systems including Karma Points as a way to reward the effort of sharing,
even if there were no peers to leech from you. Our multilayer forums were a first for any TB derived clone, and our
internal security has meant that the only compromised accounts at fsc were due to a poor choice of password. Not
one account has been stolen by any other method, nor has our server been compromised.

A lot has gone on under the bonnet. Zlo, fiftygame, Wyz, Exopia, Purple and myself have all contributed to producing
one of the finest support packages that can be found anywhere on the internet.

So, this site you see has evolved far beyond what we originally started with. Much has changed over the years. Mind
you, one thing hasn’t changed at all. You guys. We set out to make this place FUN, and wanted members who would
embrace this ethos, and you guys haven’t let us down.

A site is only as good as the members, and without the members, a site is nothing. If fsc is one of the best sites out
there, it is because of the members. Remember that our staff come from our members, which is also testament to how
brilliant our members are.

Long live fsc and long live those who make fsc great.

Unfortunately there are a lot of bad staffers out there...
in it for the power and ego....as long as they are willing
to work for a site for free they can get away with almost
anything. ( as long as it doesn’t affect donations )

was a hack since I use unique alpha/numeric passes for
all sites.
<snail> 1- FSC: the first I knew about it was when a
staffer from FSC PMed me on FTNs IRC telling me the
account IP had changed to some shithole third world
country and that they had reset my pass and key and
here was the new pass ... what a fantastic thing to do for
someone, obviously a site with staff that isn’t in it for the
ego and power.

I am known here as eRe4s3r and
been here for a bit less than 400
weeks now.
I pretty much joined (or rather,
was invited) by random chance
a bit after Filelist.org fell apart
due to a staff revolt and at the
start it was quite rough here ;p
Since there were only 200 or so
actively leeching members
getting any kind of ratio was
impossible, which was basically what brought about the
Share Index and an ever reduced focus on ratios here.
This was essentially what drove me to stay here. I am
only on 2 torrent sites and FSC is one of them, the
reason I am here is simple..
1) I am way too lazy to look for another one and
2) thanks to the uploaders we have who seem to fill ANY
request no matter how absurd it may be I have never not
found something I was looking for.
But I also am the founder, together with Battlestorm and I
think Jericospeedy (who does not need any introductions)
of the Anime Club ;) Coincidentally the Anime Club just
turned 3 years old this December and with Trigg3r’s
massive participation has gained a new swing to more
activity again. So go there and download and Upload
Anime. ;p
When it comes down to it, piracy has changed a lot
these past years... I can remember a time where you
got any release on public ftps, could watch live from ftp
and then later it got all via filehosters. My first torrent
was afaik in 2004 when I wanted to download Anime and
was stumped wtf a torrent file was. There was only the
basic client back then which sucked worse than a suction
pump. If you’ve been pirating as long as I have you start
to appreciate what these “high” secret sites like FSC
offer. Security and booty ftw ;)
Well that’s my rant on dah 8th Birthday of FSC, there
better be more to come so I can think of more stuff to say
next time.. har har ;)
An interview with Exopia

1) What made you choose & commit your time, energy and intellect to FSC?

It was pretty much the whole package, a very good selection of decent members, great values and a
hard-to-beat site philosophy. Retro started this project with a certain attitude in mind which has been
carried on until the present day and it doesn’t look like that anything is going to change anytime soon.

2) How did the journey begin for you and how has it been so far?

Well it started the usual way by joining the site, hehe. I haven’t been active for quite a while due to
private reasons but when I got back in action and noticed that the place still had that certain something
extra it quickly became my favorite hideout on the net again. Then one day Musca approached me
asked how I felt about driving FSC in a more serious way and the answer was easy. :P

3) What do you think about the state of BT these days in general, will we survive?

I think so. At least I don’t see major changes within the next year or so. Of course the online world changes fast so you
never know for sure but looking back a bit the demise of many popular cyberlockers for example didn’t harm the trackers for
sure, far from it. :P

4) How do you think your new crop of staffers are performing for the site?

Great! :D ,this compliment extends to our Club Captains as well. We’re very lucky to have such dedicated and loyal mem-
bers who are willing to spend some of their spare time here for the good of the site and therefore for all of us.

5) How would you rate the quality of discussions on the forums compared to the past, have FSC matured as a
community?

There always was a certain level of interest, which is one of the reasons why I like it here. I wouldn’t say it got better or
worse. The torrent scene has changed a bit in general but either way there’re always great guys and fortunately many of
them find their way in here so yes, it was and is still very nice around here. The latest topic in the philosophy club for exam-
ple alone is something you don’t see often no matter where.

6) Does real life gets affected by the time you give here, how do you manage?

Not much. As with every other hobby you just see where and when it fits and schedule things accordingly. Sometimes
there’s more time available and sometimes less but what counts is the regularity which is much more important than the
total amount of time you spend on something like this.

7) What message do you want to give to us fans on FSC’s 8th Birthday?

Oh that’s easy… Enjoy it a much as I will & here’s to the next 8 yrs. :fsclove:
FSC Clubs Part I - Movie Club
Movie Club
The Movie Club is the place to hang out for Film buffs
and casual Cinema attendees, and generates a great
deal of activity. It has been divided into 4 sections.
The Film Club
We have all the film gossips here, news on upcoming
films and whatever is hot going around in Hollywood, if
you
trying to find some gems to watch this section gives you
a lot of titles with opinions, the “describe your last seen
movie” is a pretty good place to look.
Film Reviews
Here our members give us detailed reviews of films past
and present, critical analysis is noted to discuss and
credits given.
Movie Club Contests
This is where we hold contests, the duration of each
contest is usually two weeks with generous prizes for the
winner, and these “guess the films from the given
snapshots” competitions are pretty popular and generate
lots of activity. Some of our regular winners are creasy,
Apisteutos and Punisher, they are usually the best and
fastest on the guesses. Special contests are held for
special events like our Birthday, Christmas, Easter and
other important events, the rewards for them are also
special.
Foreign Movies
Discussions on foreign films (non -English) happen here,
Korean, Indian, Chinese or French, this is the place to
discuss and recommend.

are encouraged and the winners are handsomely re-

FSC Clubs Part II - TV Club Anime Club

In The TV club section there are

Everyone has a great time because

result there are many
participants.
The TV Club was introduced before I registered here. I
saw this club and immediately increased my activity as
I could visualize it’s true potential and that all it needed
was a boost.
After a year or so the club started to be more prosperous.
We discussed everything related to TV shows, chill-chat,
news, information about new shows and big premiers. It
is the way The TV Club must be engineered to ensure
that it’s a great success.
Everyone is more than welcome to join in, there is a
thread about the TV shows starting.
Anime Club. The only Club that offers
anime TV shows, Movies, Images and
of course Hentai :p Everything is in its
place. A lot of reviews with a few com-
petitions/contests going on, awesome
prizes will be issued for the winnerz
and Midget badges for all who enter
the competitions xD Currently therez 1
competition going on and that’s for
Anime Club banner. That can be used in threads, posts
and uploads. In
addition prizes are up to VIP for a month and new

detail about the events, it’s also the place for you if you

MMA is the sport that draws the most attention so to

make things more interesting we run a prediction contest
for almost every UFC event and for any other major MMA
events. It’s easy to participate and the prizes are pretty
generous. If you follow MMA you should definitely check
them out. Actually this tradition made the Fight Club the
one that has held the most contests in FSC.

So fight fans don’t be afraid to step in the Fight Club, it’s

not like stepping in a Ring to fight but more like going in
a place where the fellas there just happens to enjoy the
most ancient sport of them all, FIGHTING.

FSC Clubs Part IV - Music Club
The Music Club is home to some
of FSC’s most creative and
entertaining members. Whether
you are looking for a new artist,
song or album chances are you
will find something in the forums
and on the tracker that may
enhance your auditory experi-
ence. Over the past year the club
has made great strides in adding
new music reviews, setting up
new contests, increasing music
uploads, and the net effect is a
much higher level of member
participation. One of the chief catalysts for this
improvement is thanks to FSC’s resident DJ and Music
Club Captain Qv3110. His FSC Exclusives and
beautiful reviews have captured the attention of all the
Trance, Techno, House and Dubstep lovers. His positive
energy and love for the craft has inspired others to be
more active and as a result we have seen an increase in
music threads and uploads. On the tracker side, we have
seen sharp increases in snatches for every genre across
the board, including popular music like Classic Rock,
TOP 40, Trance, Techno, House and Dubstep.
In conclusion, if you haven’t yet dropped in to the FSC
Music Club you’re missing out and chances are you will
find something appropriate for your musical taste. As we
enter 2013 the Music Club will continue to prosper, so
dear members thank you for your support, and let the
good times roll.

Creative Club
My beloved club hehe. We have
a wide variation of what can be
found here. Part of it is of course
the ‘Avatar Request’ thread. That
is also how I rolled into the Club
Captain position.
We also have a few tutorials on
how to do graphics/creative stuff
yourself. And with that a request
part. So if you ever wondered
how to make an avatar, or how
something creative-related is
done, request it here.
Another nice part of the Creative Club are the contests.
We have a ‘Guess the logo’ comp and of course the
holiday related contests. Which are lots of fun, and with
some good prizes.
We also have a general subform. This is the fun part.
Some good threads there. Like the ‘Funny Pics’, ‘Your
mood shown in an image, etc. And the ‘Show your Desk-
top’ to get some inspiration for pimpin’ your own.
And last but not least are the nice themes some members
from the Creative Club have put ip for everyone to enjoy.

FUNspace

Of the many features FSC offers, FUNSPACE is by far my favourite. As far as I know
FUNspace is unique to FSC and there is nothing remotely like it on any other tracker. It’s a
feature that really sets FSC apart and gives you more info about the other members than a
plain profile page. For me it puts the fun in FunSharing. My inviter told me about FUNspace
before joining so I looked into it straight away and really liked what I see.

If you’re not familiar with this feature of FSC, FUNspace is like having your own webpage
or myspace page within the tracker where you can post almost anything you like. You can
express your likes, dislikes or just customize your FUNspace for the time of the year eg::
Summer, Winter, Easter, Xmas etc. Post your name anywhere on FSC and its highly possible
someone will have a look at your FUNspace.

Even if your first language isn’t English and you find the forums tough, FUNspace is the
perfect tool to show fellow members what you are about, what you’re into and what really
floats your boat. You can even play your favourite music to your FUNspace visitors.

Your FUNspace consists of a main body and a number of blocks such as favourite TV Shows, Movies and Music etc.
There are many templates to choose from where you can change how these blocks sit in relation to the main page
body. You can display a list of your friends and post messages on their FUNspace, in fact you can post messages on
anyone’s FUNspace. Just bought a new Computer??? Show it off on your FUNspace within the Computer block.

Setting up your FUNspace for the first time can seem a little daunting but with a bit of practice it really is very simple.
There is a simple WYSIWYG editor which makes making a basic looking fun space really easy. For a more advanced
stylish looking FUNspace a little bit of basic HTML coding is required, but there are many tutorials within the
FUNspace section of the forums to help you and there’s nothing you cannot find with a quick Google search.

Another feature of FUNspace are the gifts, these can be purchased from the store on FSC for yourself or your friends.
Nice FUNspaces are often rewarded with gifts by staff and passing members enjoying what you have created. You
can display you gifts on the most basic of FUNspaces. Often free gifts can be obtained within the forums. From time to
time FUNspace also offers you the chance to win a bit of upload and other FSC goodies via FUNspace competitions.

I recently entered A Halloween themed FUNspace competition of which due to the low number of entrants we all won.
I don’t think there is many easier competitions on FSC than spending a few moments of your time adding a few
images to your FUNspace.

If I interact with anyone in the forums, read an interesting post or see someone’s name in a news item etc, the first
thing I do is look at their FUNspace. Unfortunately more often than not its untouched or disabled. The only minor issue
I have with FUNspace is that not enough members use or customize it to its full potential. It would be interesting to find
out the reasons why. I suppose there could be 101 reasons why members don’t use their FUNspace. They don’t know
about it, its too complicated, are to busy in real life or maybe the novelty has worn off for some of the older members.

Hopefully this article will encourage or inspire more members to take a look at their FUNspace and have a go at mak-
ing it look great. As I have said there are many tutorials to help within the forums and I am happy to help anyone. Then
maybe in the next competition there will be more than four entrants.
So come on FSC’ers inject some FUN ! into your FUNSPACE

Seriously guys...was you thinking of any other??? I know i wasn’t!
Why even bother with comparisons...Let’s face it, there are none. I’ve been around the scene
long enough to know about alternative sites and their staff. FSC comes out tops every time.
I personally have been a member for 70 weeks, a pretty new guy compared to the 400 week members.
What a great place to meet new friends that are consistently around, not your usual ‘come day go day’ friends that say
hi and never return.
With the advantage of FUNspace, everybody can visit their buddies page and drop a line, drop in a gift or even if it’s
just to say ‘Merry Christmas or ‘Happy New Year’ or ‘hey, how ya been’ the option is there and while your over visiting,
check out all the cool FUNspace stuff that FSC has to offer.

Many places in BT have never satisfied my needs but i am already finding myself hooked here! Constantly checking
Torrents for new releases, great community posts with very little to no spam or judgement from any other members,
what else can we ask for from a site?
Torrents come in thick and fast with excellent pre-times and download speeds! (Thanks to the great hand-picked up-
loading team.
New members being carefully screened to join a tight nit community tells us all that staff deeply care and don’t want
bad people ruining a great site!
FSC Clubs - Wow...what a great way to showcase the sites forums! A very carefully organized setup that covers pretty
much everything from ‘movies to FSC’s very own creative club and FSC’s fight club with intellectual posts and re-
sponses keeps everybody interested.

I really don’t know what else to say other than... If you get a great opportunity to join this set of great people at FSC,
then jump at the chance! I did 70 weeks ago and have never looked back once.
I was a dedicated forum runner (admin) of 2 places and have turned all my free time to FSC!

FSC has always had this cloud of magic surrounding it, which is also superbly hidden in its name.
That’s why I always wanted to join the site ever since I first heard about it.
My wish was finally granted when a “Cuban” friend filled out an invite application for me (thanks again). Soon I was
called in for an IRC interview, which was conducted by the “late” Goku123k himself.
I have spammed the channel for over an hour and in the end I was able to successfully deceive him into inviting me in.

FSC wasn’t doing too good when I joined. The site had serious hosting issues with huge loading times, while the
torrents were uploaded somewhat sporadically. At the time it seemed to me that Goku123k was the one who kept
the site alive and I was really sad when he had to be let go. But new prospective staff members like Exopia, T3RRa
or vanhorck, just to name a few, emerged from the masses to take over. I still remember when they were just regular
users like me. They quickly arose to the highest levels and just as quickly the site kept improving, and still does to this
day.

FSC moved to a new, much faster hosting and an autobox was implemented too, which in my opinion were the two
biggest improvements among the tons of new features constantly being added to the site. By adding an autobox FSC
has a constant flow of fresh scene releases, while a dedicated team of uploaders keeps supplying the site with all the
major P2P releases. This is a smart move, since P2P releases have become extremely popular lately and most of the
scene trackers have to deny their users those.

Another great feature of the site is the request system, and it is not just the feature itself, since it is not a common
feature among other trackers, but the quality of the service, which makes it exceptional. One can request anything and
be certain that it will surely be filled within a short period of time. The forums have been redesigned too to meet the
demands of the members and the club captains do excellent work in fulfilling those. Among the numerous provided
possibilities for quality discussions I particularly enjoy the movie and TV club contests run by karachidude (who took
over from atjo87) and kyrcer (just keep them coming).

I must admit that quite often I consult balajik and skeptic on those movie screenshots, which I like to think of as
resourcefulness (please don’t disqualify me kdude).

Another nice feature of the forums, which is rare on other trackers, is the multi language section, where those who
are not fluent in English can get help from more experienced users in their native language. Unfortunately, nothing is
perfect in this world and FSC has its problems too. In my eyes, the biggest problem today is the lack of peers, which
affects all the users and is particularly discouraging for the uploaders. I am confident though that current staff will
sort this issue out in time. FSC has been around for what seems like forever, hopefully it will be around for the rest of
forever too.

I’m humbled to have been asked to write a message for
the FSC annual magazine. I’ve been a member of FSC
for a little over 7 years now. I only ever felt a part of 2
torrent communities. FSC is one of the two. Due to my
commitments to FTN (the other torrent community), I
haven’t been able to spend more time on FSC but it’s like
a second home to me. I have made a few good friends
here. 
FSC has very strong ethos. Kudos to the staff for that. It
has always had a loyal userbase and it’s the members
who make FSC what it is.
Congratulations to the staff and the members on 8 won-
derful years and many more happy returns.

as a result of this achievement our members have truly
come to respect him, his wisdom and warmth are quite
simply unsurpassable, we have learned to love him and
fear him, his actions / mechanisms looks after us and is
to secure and protect us all.
Exopia :
Exopia is FSC’s V8, he is the highly powerful, reliable and
efficient engine driving consistent high quality perfor-
mance and results, he is massively helpful, reasonable,
whose intelligence has gained him masses of experience,
Exopia is steps ahead of his game and undisputedly the
kind of staffer people in the BT world have highly come to
love, respect and salute.
T3RRa :
T3RRa is FSC’s energy, a glowing Superstar, hugely
friendly, the life and soul of the party, he is very popular
among many, his enthusiasm & generosity strive for noth-
ing else but aiming to please.
vanhorck :
vanhorck is FSC’s skin, he makes the site look visually
stunning, he is immensely creative, active and most im-
portantly very approachable, he always has vastly imagi-
native things up his sleeve and is consistently occupying
himself with new projects for the site.
Batig0al :
Batig0al is FSC’s stamina, very energetic, masses of
pride, reasonable and wise, he is the true spirit of the
forums fight and Sports Clubs.
ArDbStArD :
ArDbStArD is FSC’s veins, he is known as an internal
communications tool, he deeply strives to keep that con-
nection flowing between staff and to prevent the FUN
aspect of running a tracker from ever dropping out from
within.
Cool new features on FSC
Friendlist: Your personal list of friends now also shows
who added you to their list. This has been an internal
feature before.
Smilies: New smilies have been added and the big se-
lection page has been fully integrated into our themes.
Sticky Torrents: We also have a sticky function for tor-
rents now. As you probably know that means that those
torrents will always be on top of the list on the default
browse page.
Forum Improvements: Quotes have been re-designed
and we changed the functionality of the text area. To be
more precise the way the buttons for bold or italic for
example work. From now on they will surround whatever
you selected. Let’s say you have a few lines you wanna
quote just select that part and hit the quote button.
Profile Improvements: There’s now an additional link
on your profile page for your uploads. Also we have new
additional rows showing your browser’s user agent and
one additional row for your user class so that you can see
your class right away even if you have a custom title.
Pack Flag: One of the frequently requested features has
been added as well: an extra checkbox for packs. It’s on
the browse page as well as on the upload page so that
independent of anything else packs can safely be identi-
fied.
PM Download: Ever wanted to get your pms but wouldn’t
go through tons of copy & paste? That’s a thing of the
past now because on the inbox and the sentbox page we
have a download button.
Thanks for torrent: On all torrent detail pages you can
now see a “Thanks” button. Hitting that makes the up-
loader happy and also counts torwards your reputation.
Abuse is not welcome tho
Additional Stats: On your profile page you can now see
additional up- and download stats. The new ones only
show the real traffic without any boni or any other sort of
extra treatment. Those do depend on still existing torrents
though.
Disable Freeleech: A requested feature is now available
in the store to all user classes: Disable Freeleech. It al-
lows you to disable freeleech for your account for what-
ever reason.
Disable 2x Upload: Just as the new feature above this
one targets the site wide double upload. If you should
not want to have that happen to your account you can
purchase the respective profile option from the store for
only 25 bucks each.
Contests list:Right below this news block there’s a new
field listing all running contests. It shows the clubs as well
as a direct link to the contest so it’s easier than ever to
keep track of all contests going on currently. The list is
“live” and therefore always up-to-date.
Userdetails Additions/Changes: If you like reading
about yourself, and how your page looks to the rest of
the members, we tweaked that up a bit. We added a new
layout and a few more rows of details.
Public News Archive/History:
You know that annoying popup that shows up when you
first log on to the site after a new announce comes out.
You read, go ya-ya, or thatís cool, click read then move
on. WellÖ if days/weeks later you wonder what that an-
nounce was all about and want to read it again ñ you can.
FSC Medals: Those are awarded outside of the user
classes for exceptional commitment to our cozy place
here. Just as with our secret user classes we don’t tell
exactly which requirements they have but let’s have a
closer look at them anyway. For now we have 3 standard
medals as follows:
Bronze
The bronze medal is the first one. To become the proud
owner of this little beauty you need to be a member for a
while and show some above average commitment in key
areas of the site. This is the one you’ll likely see around
most.
Silver
The silver version is the next step. For that one you need
to be a member for quite some time and really use the
site a lot in every aspect. If you got one already you can
definitely think of yourself as a vital part of this place!
Gold
Ooh there we have the flagship of the trio: Gold! Those
are the true die-hard members of FSC doing extremely
well around here and that for a damn long time. You
might not see that too often but if you do you can be sure
that those guys more or less live here
New FunStore gifts: A couple of new gifts have been
added to the FunSpace store.
