Q7. The diagram shows a trapezium.
AD = x cm.
BC is the same length as AD.
AB is twice the length of AD.

Work out the length of AD.

A giftset box contains 24 ginger bread men.
Hamish wants to make a giftset box of gingerbread men.

(a) Work out how much of each of the ingredients he needs to make a giftset box.

Hamish makes 6 giftset boxes of gingerbread men.


It costs him £4.50 to make each giftset box plus a 30% packaging charge.
He sells these 6 giftset boxes of gingerbread men for £8 each.

(b) Work out how much profit Hamish made.

Q13. In a bag there are only red counters, blue counters, green counters and yellow counters.
A counter is taken at random from the bag.
The table shows the probabilities that the counter will be green or yellow.

The probability that the counter will be blue is twice the probability that the counter will be red.
There are 80 yellow counters in the bag.
Work out the number of blue counters in the bag.
