❑ How to access wiTEXEDI website

❑ How to register a VCI (MicroPod or MDP) to be used with wiTECH 2

❑ How to cancel the registration of a VCI

❑ How to get the list of VCIs associated to your Dealer Code

❑ How to set up a VCI

❑ How to access wiTECH 2 website

2. wiTECH2 Glossary

To simplify the reading of the following document, here is the explanation of the main acronyms and specific
names used in the following presentation

❑ wiTECH 2 → The official Stellantis Diagnostic Tool for the aftersales network of the former FCA Brands

❑ VCI → Vehicle Communication Interface: The electronic device you connect to the EOBD to communicate to the vehicle

❑ MicroPod → Is the official wiTECH VCI used from 2011 to 2021

❑ MDP → Mo.Par. Diagnostic Pod, is the current wiTECH VCI used since 2021

❑ wiTEXEDI → Section of Link-e-Entry dedicated to wiTECH

❑ VCI Asset Management → The section of wiTEXEDI to register VCIs

❑ FLAPH → FIAT, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, FIAT Professional, Abarth

❑ CJD → Chrysleer, Jeep, Dodge

❑ NAFTA → North America Free Trade Agreement, refers to the former FCA North American region, for our purposes
indicates CJD activities

• Download useful Software (e.g., Examiner Emulator)

• Access to the VCI Asset Management

4. wiTECH2 VCI Asset Management - Self registration

To work on wiTECH 2.0, the VCI (MDP or MicroPod) must be registered


on wiTEXEDI and associated with the User ID of the owner

From the wiTEXEDI menu, select


VCI Association

❑ The procedure can vary based on the brands managed by your dealerships

1. FLAPH Only

Here is what to be done by a FLAPH Dealerships

You have to use Link-e-Entry credentials

From the wiTEXEDI menu, select


VCI Association

You only have to insert Save association


the Serial Number of the VCI

❑ Each user can only associate a VCI to its own User ID

❑ It is possible to enter more than one VCI under the same User ID

❑ IMPORTANT: CHECK THAT THE SERIAL NUMBER OF THE VCI IS CORRECT.


AN INCORRECT CODE WILL NOT ALLOW THE VCI TO BE DISPLAYED ON WITECH 2.0

❑ All other fields will be automatically filled in based on the User ID information

❑ If the process is successfully completed, an OK flag (green background) will appear on Delete

the left of the user. In case of KO (red background) please contact wiTECH Helpdesk

❑ In case of error the association with the VCI can be deleted

❑ Once the association is done, it takes a few minutes to be properly active in wiTECH 2.0

For FLAPH + CJD Dealerships you have, first, to associate the VCI with FLAPH credentials

Then proceed, as described here below, using Dealer Connect credentials (T-ID or S-ID)

From VCI Asset Management, open the specific section

for CJD user association clicking on the “+” button

❑ The following section (UserId NAFTA) will appear

You have to fill in the UserId field with your S-ID or T-ID 2

❑ In the same section

To save the record of the CJD UserID and Dealer Code 4

Select the right DealerCode NAFTA 3

❑ NOTE: there are 3 possible scenario for DealerCode NAFTA selection:

1. A unique DealerCode preselected, cannot be changed

2. Multiple DealerCodes
Primary NAFTA DealerCode is selected by default, select the proper one from the drop down list

3. No DealerCode is shown, you have to insert it manually (mainly for importers)


4. wiTECH2 VCI Asset Management - Self registration CJD Only users

CJD Only Dealerships have to open a wiTECH Helpdesk ticket to get a VCI registered
4. wiTECH2 VCI Asset Management - Available functions

To remove the record of the Link.e.Entry associations


To add a Link.e.Entry associations
To update and save the CJD UserID and/or CJD Dealer Code To see all the UserID
To discard the update of the CJD UserID and/or CJD Dealer Code associated to a VCI
To remove the record of the CJD UserID and Dealer Code
To save the record of the CJD UserID and Dealer Code
4. wiTECH2 VCI Asset Management - VCI Report

Beside the possibility to see all the Users associated to a specific VCI (based on the Serial Number),

you also have the possibility to get the full list of VCIs associated to your Dealer Code

From the VCI Asset Management page,


click on the button “Report VCI” 1

A report in excel format will be downloaded

4. wiTECH2 VCI Asset Management - Self cancellation

To cancel a VCI registration:


1) 1) Delete the T-ID/S-ID using the icon

2) 2) Delete the USER-Id using the icon


If the icon is not there, click on one of the description of the following row. It will appear the icon to delete it.

❑ After the cancellation, the VCI is no more visible in the list.

❑ If any issue occurs, or in case of any need (e.g. a deleted VCI needs to be reassigned) please contact the wiTECH Help Desk.

5. wiTECH2 VCI Setup – VCI configuration

Prior to use a VCI, you need to configure it: the configuration is needed to be sure that it is properly configured, can
access your Wi-Fi network and it is up to date

❑ Download the software "microPOD Setup Utility" from wiTEXEDI / Software and install it

❑ Launch the "microPOD Setup Utility" program by clicking on the icon

❑ If the application is obsolete, an automatic update


and the Visual C++ complement, if necessary, will be suggested

❑ Then relaunch the "microPOD Setup Utility" program by clicking on the icon

❑ The following screen will appear


5. wiTECH2 VCI Setup – VCI configuration

❑ Connect the VCI to the USB port on the PC and click on "Continue"

❑ Wait for completion of the update without disconnecting the MDP

❑ The device will report if any Wi-Fi network is already registered


and FW version (factory FW version: 0.0.4)

❑ Wait for completion of the update without disconnecting the VCI

❑ Click on the suggested link to access Witech2 and proceed to the next available System Release update step

❑ A VCI update window, giving its identification number, will be shown on the first page of wiTECH 2.0.
Press "Continue" to proceed.

❑ The system will automatically open the DEVICE MANAGER window, showing the firmware and
software currently installed on the VCI and those available on the network.
Press "Update Now" to start the update.

up to about 15/20 minutes).

❑ DO NOT disconnect the VCI from the USB and DO NOT close the
"microPOD Setup Utility" application
To open DEVICE
❑ Open the DEVICE MANAGER by pressing the gear-shaped button MANAGER

❑ If the screen showing the device does not appear, check that it is
properly registered on wiTEXEDI \ VCI Asset Management and that
there are no security components (Firewall / Antivirus) installed on
your PC preventing to access the cloud

❑ The VCI is connected via USB

❑ Select the Wi-Fi network to which you want to connect the MDP

❑ When the network is selected, enter:

▪ Password e.g.: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

▪ Proxy Address (Stellantis users) e.g.: 10.12.9.168:8080

❑ It is also possible to select a network without PROXY or a dedicated HOTSPOT by entering the
relevant parameters (PASSWORD and/or PROXY ADDRESS)

❑ Wait for the selected network to connect

❑ From now on, the VCI is configured to use Wi-Fi to work with the selected network

❑ Close the DEVICE MANAGER and disconnect the MDP from the USB
