Basic switch Configuration and VLAN Configuration
Topology Diagram

1. Cable a network according to the topology diagram.

2. Change the switch


name to FLR1SW1 for SW1 and FLR2SW2 for SW2.
3. Configure the console password cpu123@# for FLR1SW1.
4. Configure the enable password cpu123@ for both switches.
5. Disabled switch ports from fa0/14 up to fa0/19 must be shut down in FLR2SW2.
6. Change the clock setting to 10:25:20 on June 12, 2023.
7. Enable service password encryption for all passwords stored on the FLR1SW1switch.
8. Enable port security for F0/01 only accessed by 2 computers, if the valuation is
passed restrict the port in FLR1SW1Switch.
9. Enable port security for F0/02 with static MAC address of the PC, If the valuation is
passed protect the port in FLR1SW1Switch.
10. Enable port security for F0/03 with static MAC address of the PC, If the valuation is
passed shutdown the port in FLR1SW1Switch.

11. Create and name VLANs 100 and 200, on both switch
 VLAN 100 for the Sales Department
 VLAN 200 for the Marketing Department
12. Test the connectivity between Comp 1 and Comp 5
13. Send PUD data from comp1 to comp 5
14. Assign switch ports to VLANs on S1 and S2
 Fa0/5-fa0/10 for VLAN 100
 Fa0/20-fa0/24 for VLAN 200
15. Configure Gigabit Ethernet interfaces 1/1 port in trunk mode and connect the
switches to each other with port Gigabit Ethernet interfaces 1/1on both sides.
16. Show trunk port information.
17. Send PUD from Comp3 to Comp7.
18. Save the configuration on both switches.
19. Remove User Mode password from FLR2SW2 Switch
20. Save the file under desktop by the name Exam one
