THE WORLD DOESN’T NEED RELIGION

 The right way to say is that, world doesn’t need the evil practices prevalent in
religion.
 The world doesn’t need communalisation of a religion.
 Religion is one’s identity in India.
 As India is a secular country, we give equal importance to everyone as the
saying goes “SARVA DHARMA SAM BHAV” i.e., all religions are equal.
 As per of the scholar Asghar Ali Engineer, people are basically religion and not
communal i.e., due to economic, social crisis be gave birth to communal
feeling that is comparing and thinking of superiority to other religion.
 World Peace Order needs to maintained by giving equal status to all.
 Due to lack of faith in oneself and thinking of superiority we have seen a great
massacre in the world like
1. Massacre against Jews in Germany by Hitler.
2. 1946, communal riots in India during partition .
 On the same hand religion kept us together , we should live with differences
and these differences should be respected.
 All over the world we see politization of religion which should be eradicated
with education and economic alleviation of the people.
 But also, the evil practices in the name of religion are to be stopped like we
have seen in India
1. Abolition of untouchability due to Verna system in Hinduism
2. Abolition of ‘Triple Talak’ in Muslim religion.
3. ‘Jallikattu’ which is a Bull taming sport in south India.
 If we see the origin of religion in prehistoric and historic period we see it
because of two reasons i.e., fear and wonder
 Even if say that the world without religion fear and wonder will prevail and
will give to rise of a new religion and may be with difference evil practices.
 Also, in the age of globalisation and liberalisation, the problem is not religion
but fundamentalism that is reviving our previous past which led to hatred
among inter and intra religious actors.
 At the end we concluded that we can’t completely eradicated religion from
our society and status as it becomes a part of our life.
 So, in this context we have make sure
1. Live and give equal status and respect to all religion.
2. Evil practices and social status to equalised.
3. Politization of religion should be stopped.
