This Ministry has decided to decentralize some of Wireless Licenses of the following categories issued under Section 4 of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 to the Five Regional Licensing offices (RLO) located at Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai and Shillong with effect from 01.01. 2007. a) b) c) d) e) f) g) h) i) j) 2. Radio Paging (Captive) Licence Import Licence Maritime Mobile Station Licence. Aeronautical Mobile Station Licence Radio Control of Models Licence. Experimental Licence Demonstration Licence Short Range UHF Radio (Hand-Held) Licence Certificate of Proficiency for Global Maritime and Safety Services (GMDSS) Certificate of Proficiency for Aeronautical Services RTR(A) Dated the 18th January 2007

It has been also decided that hence forth, all application/correspondence related to licenses be filed ON LINE and hard copy along with fees etc. be sent within 15 days to Assistant Wireless Adviser of concerned RLO.
