NARRATIVE REPORT ON LAC SESSION 1

LAC Session 1 on “ Bridging the Gaps , Strengthening the Weaknesses, and


Creating Opportunities” is conducted at Talobatib High School last November 11, 2022
with 34 teaching and 4 non-teaching personnel who actively participated in the two
sessions : Deped Child Protection Policy and Comprehensive Sexuality Education.
A short Opening Program started the session. A power point presentation was
presented in the singing of various hymns and prayer led and hosted by the SHS
teachers. An Welcome Remarks was given by Mrs. Maila C. Madera, Faculty-
President. The number of participants ispresented by Mrs. Joy L. Ferrer, English
teacher. The Overview of the seminar is given by Dr. Aminda G. David, School
Principal. Deped Orders that links with the activity, objectives, its purpose , topics
and its schedule: every second Friday and once a month for one day; students are in
Distance learning. Plenary in the morning and break out session in the afternoon for
workshop by subject areas. Mr. Resty Estoesta, Filipino teacher facilitated the
program.
Comprehensive Sexuality Education is discussed by Dr. Arminda G. David, the
school principal. To be included in all subjects, following the different Deped Orders
and Memos and the PPST. Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive health Act of
2012 is also discussed. The CSE framework, its 7 cores contents of standards: 7
concepts, 7 values, and 7 life skills are discussed. The curriculum support system
goals and its integration according to competency are elaborated to different
subjects. The duties and responsibilities of teachers in the implementation of CSE
and for the reason why it is included in the Learning Action Cell (LAC).
This was followed the discussion on the Deped Child Protection Policy: Policy
guidelines in protecting Children in School from Abuse, Violence, Exploitation,
Discrimination, Bullying, and other Forms of Abuse.
New concepts and ideas, new experience are gained by the participants when
the session had ended.
