ACTIVITY 3

What are your insights about Remote Learning?

There are benefits and drawbacks to remote learning. One of the numerous benefits
of remote learning is that students often have to solve problems on their own because
the teacher isn't always there to do it. The student improves their research techniques,
spends more time considering the material carefully, and even comes up with their own
solution. A student's confidence and self-esteem are boosted when they can handle a
challenge on their own. Maintaining good mental health while learning remotely is one
of its many drawbacks. Students are anxious about the state of the world, and many of
them also experience loneliness and depression.

Give some tips and strategies on how to manage remote classroom?

To encourage real involvement with my students, I try to steer clear of lectures and
instead incorporate storytelling, photos, examples, and anecdotes. Students in
traditional classrooms value the use of stories and anecdotes, as well as being explicit
about assignments and letting students know a little bit about oneself. You may
establish a happy environment in your classroom, whether it is physical or online, by
implementing these tactics.

As pre-service teacher, give at least 3 example of problems that may encounter in

a remote classroom and how to resolve it.

Distractions abound
- Distractions are a fact of life in a remote classroom, and they are a particular problem
for remote learning. Make it apparent to all pupils that the program is a formal session
that requires complete attention is essential in order to potentially solve this type of
problem. Remote students should, if at all possible, have a private, peaceful workspace.

Tech Problems
- Distance learning is much more flimsy. The list of potential issues is lengthy and
includes everything from erratic network connections to software glitches and access
issues in training environments. In order to address any login or access concerns, it's a
good idea to start the session a bit early and provide a window of time. To prevent
disrupting the class, it's a great thing to have a second facilitator who can answer
queries and deal with technical problems via chat and email.
Students Being Left Behind
-Students who choose to remain mute or put on a fake smile may end up leaving the
class feeling defeated, dissatisfied, and like they learned nothing. Giving instructions on
how to request assistance at any point in conversation could be helpful. And once more,
think about having a co-facilitator who can respond to inquiries online and engage in
direct discussion with students who are having trouble keeping up.

ACTIVITY 4

2. Does the learning plan reflect principles of learning, and alignment across
goals, and assessments?

Definitely, since students can concentrate on skills related to the learning objectives,
alignment between activities and evaluations helps minimize wasted time. Students will
waste time on activities, assignments, and assessments that do not advance the
intended aims if learning objectives and learning activities/assessments are not in sync.

3. If you are going to teach the same learning plan introduced to you, would you
follow the same content and format? If yes, Why? If not, why/ what /How
would you make it different?

Yes, I will feel comfortable enough to instruct a learning plan that I am accustomed to so
that I can clearly teach students the proper processes as well as the crucial
components, such as what quantifiable tasks are ideal and what approaches and
techniques are appropriate for reaching the desired goals considering the time allotted. I
will stick to the same format and content, but I will also incorporate some modifications
and changes to better serve students who are interested in learning how to develop a
successful learning plan.

ACTIVITY 6
1. Based on your experience, give three (3) importance of the preparation of
table of specifications before constructing an exam / long quiz.

A Table of Specifications gives the teacher proof that an exam is valid in terms of
content, or that it covers the material that should be covered. Additionally, it aids in
matching the test's cognitive requirements with learning objectives. And these
requirements would make the teacher more effective.
2. In constructing test questions, what are the different factors that you
considered to ensure that assessment is fair and reliable?
A fair and unbiased assessment employs terminology with universally understood
meanings as well as circumstances that are equally familiar to all. Give enough details
to ensure that any interpretations are correct. Additionally, scoring must be in line with
your approach and objectives.

3. During the conduct of the assessment, what are the rules that you imposed
to observe order in your class?

It is exceedingly challenging to set rules, particularly in a remote classroom. Reminding

everyone that cheating is forbidden is the only thing that can be done. One additional
thing: I always assign a tight amount of time for assessments. Before the tab closes,
everyone must have passed on. Those who have not taken must submit an excuse
letter, and their justification must be credible before they can reopen it.

ACTIVITY 9
1. How did I work and contribute in preparation of school and community
activities?
I tried my hardest to find some way to add value to the initiatives being taken by the
school and the community. I volunteer, lend assistance, and give my all to every activity.
Despite the fact that my contribution is little, I am confident that it will help to better
these initiatives.

2. How did I prepare the assigned tasks given to me?

3. How did I perform in school and community activities?

4. How did I develop my talent and skills for school and community activities?
I believe my collaboration skills increased during the activity I participated in. I even
made some new acquaintances as a result of being able to converse with some of the
other participants. We worked together to benefit not only the environment but also the
local population.

5. What did I learn in the school and community activities?

To support our schools and meet the unique needs of our community, we must work
together. Strong, genuine community ties and actions, in my opinion, are the key to
meaningful education development. Younger folks perform better in school, remain in
school longer, and enjoy the experience more when families, community organizations,
businesses, and schools work together to support learning.
