Objective
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and name basic colors in English.
Materials
1. Flashcards with pictures of various colors
2. Colorful objects (crayons, colored paper, etc.)
3. Whiteboard and markers
Warm-up (5 minutes)
1. Greet the students and ask them about their favorite colors.
2. Play a quick color recognition game: Show different colored flashcards and have
students shout out the color.
Wrap-up (5 minutes)
1. Review the colors learned in the lesson.
2. Ask students to share something in the classroom that is the color of their choice.
Homework (optional)
Assign a simple coloring activity where students need to color objects in a worksheet using the
correct colors.
Assessment
Observe students' participation and engagement during color recognition activities. Assess
their ability to identify colors correctly during the color identification activity.
GLOSARIUM
1. Flashcards: Small cards with pictures or words on them, used for teaching and learning.
2. Colorful objects: Objects that have different colors, such as crayons (colored drawing
tools) and colored paper.
3. Whiteboard: A flat, white surface that can be written on with markers and easily erased.
4. Markers: Writing tools used to draw or write on whiteboards.
5. Color recognition: The ability to identify and name different colors.
6. Simon Says: A game where players follow commands only when the command is
preceded by "Simon says." If the phrase "Simon says" is not used, players should not
follow the command.
7. Color mixing: Combining different colors to create new colors.
8. Purple: A color that is created by mixing red and blue.
9. Worksheet: A printed page with exercises or tasks for students to complete.
10. Engagement: Active participation and involvement in an activity.
11. Interactive activities: Activities that involve communication, participation, and
interaction among students.
