01 - Dear Editor, my name's Rafaela, wife of the organizer of this Westfield music festival held

last weekend. I can say that it wasn't a disaster, despite the technical problems that occurred.
The first group to perform was King Cup.

The other artists weren't from the second-rate. This is unfair, they were from other cities
which were their first performances at this festival. I agree that most people were there to see
the RADIANT group on Sunday, but they didn't play only 35 minutes but lasted an hour of
performance.

I don't agree that the final fireworks display was the key to a dull and disorganized event, I
don't think you were there to really know how it all happened, or were any of your editors,
who did this report to badmouth a festival that was acclaimed by the public, and became a
phenomenon with an audience of 5,000 people.

02 - For me, the best pet is a dog. As they say, dog is man's best friend. they miss us when we
aren't there.

I had a dog when I was a child, I played with it every day, bathed it, fed it, took it to the pet
shop, went for walks in the neighborhood, until one day, I needed to go to Bahia to visit my
family.

I stayed away from home for a month, and the one who took care of him was my brother who
lives next door to my house.

when I came back, he was very thin, we took him to the vet, who said he was feeling very
lonely, went into depression until he died.

the vet did everything treating with medication, but the longing was so much that not even
returning from traveling made him return to normal.

animals also have feelings, and we must treat them with great affection, because we always
receive affection from them even though they are sad, they are always there by our side, never
abandon us.

03 - As soon as Paul got off the train, he knew this was going to be a special day in his life.

it was his first day on the job as headmaster at a city university.

on arriving at the university, the lesson plan he had developed for the semester was a success,
and the university's grade became in high demand among the incoming students.

Paul improved the curriculum, improved the teaching with the teachers, invested in the
research laboratory, in the library, that is, he invested in the university, which in the first
semester of planning, they began to reap the rewards.

With so much demand from students, he expanded the building, built more classrooms, and
added a canteen.

to get a sense of how famous the university is, no one enters unless authorized by the gate.
the students have all the security, that during the breaks, there are the security guards who
are on the prowl to ensure the safety of the students.

04 - dear boss. When comparing the two restaurants in our area, I noticed the following points
that can improve services and attract more customers.

One of them is well located on the main avenue of the area, next to the busiest gas station,
while the other is on a street with little movement within the neighbourhood.

Both offer typical dishes from the city and country, the one on the avenue, of course, the price
is more expensive than the other.

each one has its type of service. While the one on the avenue, because it is so famous, the
waiters are rude, they serve customers in any way, they leave them waiting for hours, even
though the place is not very full, the food arrives on the tables cold and the hot drinks.

however, the other, as it is not as famous, has a cozy atmosphere, with low-key classical music,
and first-class service.

sometimes, a well-located location does not always offer quality service, small restaurants,
with management, manage to have this type of differential.

05 - Dear Peter, I'm glad you and your family are coming to visit my city.

I would recommend the Conroy hotel. it is a value for money hotel.

its location isn't very far from the bus station, which is a bad thing, because at peak hours, it
becomes noisy.

the hotel is modern, friendly, the staff speak English, but the structure itself isn't very
attractive.

the rooms are a good size, comfortable, some views are good, not all of them have a view of
the bus stop and you have to book early.

the hotel has a tourist tour that has a lot to see in the vicinity of beautiful landscapes,
waterfall, also with a bus ride from the hotel. the bad thing is that the tour starts at 7 am.

What are your parents' interests? maybe there are some activities at the hotel that they like.

06 - Hello Mr. and Mrs. Harris.

My name is Rafaela Rios, I'm 28 years old and I've been a caregiver for children since I was 17. I
take care of children from 5 years old to 17 years old. And for your children, I believe I will
have no problem taking care of them.

In addition to care, I develop games and sports that help in their development to become
future responsible adults.

I avoid giving games that contain small, easy-to-swallow parts. I have this concern for the little
ones.

As a form of entertainment: football, volleyball, dodgeball, walking, picnic, and then at dusk, I
bathe them, have dinner and put them to sleep.
No day will be the same, I always try to diversify the activities so as not to tire the children.

Also, with their parents' permission, I take them for a walk in the neighborhood playground, to
play in the sand, as children love to play in the sand, on the swing, on the slide.

Anyway, I believe that with my experiences and quality, I can take care of your children with
lots of love and affection.

Yours sincerely,

Rafaela.

07 – In my view, everyone can help reduce crime in their own neighborhood. Where I am
building, for example, is a new neighborhood, there are already people living there, and even
so, there are many robberies.

The neighborhood can help when they see someone suspicious walking around the
neighborhood, inform the group, ask the police to inspect the neighborhood at night.

The bad thing is when you this building that has no neighbor, nowhere that can warn you
when your house is robbed.

You won't always be able to go to your construction every day, and be able to count on a good
neighbor, it's nice, because when one is going away and the other isn't, you can keep looking
at the house, and if anything happens, it's just let me know.

08 – The city of Catanduva, in the interior of São Paulo, recently received a large sum of money
to build the city's new municipal theatre.

The old one needed to be demolished, as the old facilities were gradually falling apart. The
new space has entrance ramps for wheelchair users, very comfortable upholstered chairs,
good lighting, top quality sound, in addition to the landscaping they did right at the entrance,
with an artificial lake, beautiful for taking pictures.

The facade of the new theater has modern architecture. The theater is very large, has two
floors, has an elevator, stairs, emergency exit. It was built large to serve the public of
neighboring cities, the festivals that the mayor will implement in the coming years.

A new, modern theater, which I leave an invitation to those who couldn't see it, go and see it,
it's really worth it.

For theater lovers, Catanduva inaugurated a high standard municipal theater, and the best,
free for the entire population.

09 - Dear Ms. Fiona McDonald.

My name is Rafaela, I'm 28 years old and I would like to apply for the position of
salesperson in the store. I worked as a salesperson at the mall store for six years and the other
four years, I had to leave to attend a tourism college, as our city receives many tourists and I
thought this course would be a good opportunity.
At the mall I was a salesperson at a shoe store, we had to hit targets every month, I took care
of the store's marketing, social media. In addition to Portuguese, I speak English, Spanish and
French fluently. Could you provide me with the following information regarding the job
vacancy? How much would the base salary be? How many hours a week do you work? What
are the bonuses, and how much overtime can we do per month?
What products do you sell so that I can study and develop a marketing plan for the company?
if you can answer me, thank you.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hug.

10 - Hello dear cousin. It's a pity that you can't enjoy your hiking vacation with me on a trail
here in the city.

It was very funny. We went in a group of 20 people, we got to know several villages around.
We walked for 20 kilometers, and one thing that caught our attention was that there was a
dog that accompanied us throughout the walk, we do not know who owns it, because he was
not part of the group.

If it weren't for that dog, there would be a snake that would bite us, but with his bark, we
could be smarter where we stepped.

The cool thing is that I made friends with the whole group. There were people from different
cities to do this route, it was very good, as we passed close to a waterfall, where we could cool
off a little, as the sun was very hot.

In this waterfall, there is a restaurant next door, delicious food and not very expensive. The
tour was really nice, who knows next time you come to have fun with us?

the big hug. Rafaela.

11 – it was after noon when we realized we were lost. My family and I, we were riding our
bikes across the land, when we ran out of cell phone signal, the gaps didn't work, so we were
really lost. We stood there for almost an hour, until finally a family that lived close by passed
us by and offered us to go to their house, drink some water and put our cell phone to charge.

There talking to that family, it was a coincidence that they were my grandfather 's cousins who
we didn't see for many years.

We until nightfall talking with them, we were treated well, they gave us food, because we
were hungry and it gave way, we could rest in the hammock that is in the garage, a big and
very comfortable house.

When we got back, I told my grandfather and the next day he went to visit his cousin and they
could talk and enjoy the time that was taken away from them.
12 - Dear readers, today's review is of the movie barbie. The story accompanies Stereotypical
Barbie, who lives in a perfect place, in the company of perfect friends (the other Barbies),
doing fun things and immersed in the certainty that her invention was good for girls in the real
world. However, behavior changes begin to happen that lead to an inevitable existential crisis.

To overcome all this confusion, she embarks on an incredible journey of discoveries about
herself, about the world she belongs to and, above all, about the world where she was created
to serve as an example and earn millions.

The fact that all Kens are stupid is not intended to target men in a literal way, but by making
many of them angry with the generic portrayal, it does its job perfectly. Ryan Gosling has a
very expressive performance physically and seems to have understood perfectly what he was
representing there.

One of the most important aspects you can take away from Barbie is that you can't define
women by their roles pre-established by someone at some point in history. Nor is it correct to
define them by their ills, by their suffering.

13 – Dear Mr John Miles

Thanks for the quick response to my query. Unfortunately, June 27th is too late. There is no
way I can reschedule at a later date, as it had to be before that date. Yes, it will be impossible.
These two campsites similar to Windermere, write me a little about them. Where is it located?
Almost the same facilities? What's missing? Do they have any sports facilities? Also, what's the
difference in cost? Do you have any kind of accommodation and travel arrangements? Perhaps
one of these two campsites could be acceptable for my group.

I look forward to answering these questions and if possible, send me photos of the place.

Best wishes,

Rafaela C. Rios

14 – Your English pen pal wants to visit your country and has written to you asking for advice
and information. Write a letter to your pen pal giving advice on what clothes to bring and what
clothes to avoid. You should also tell him about places to visit and things to do.

Write your letter in 120-180 words.

dear friend

Receiving your letter was great! I'm glad you're planning to visit Brazil. As for clothes, take light
and comfortable clothes, such as t-shirts, shorts and dresses, due to the tropical climate. Don't
forget a light jacket for cooler nights. Avoid very formal clothes; our style is more casual and
colorful.
Regarding destinations, I suggest you explore Rio de Janeiro, famous for its beaches and Christ
the Redeemer. Also visit the Amazon for a unique jungle experience. Salvador is full of culture
and history, and the Iguazu Falls are impressive. Try our diverse cuisine, such as feijoada and
acarajé.

Keep safety in mind, avoid secluded areas at night, and protect your belongings. Make the
most of your visit and don't hesitate to ask me anything. Have an amazing trip to Brazil!

Sincerely, Raphaela

15 – Your teacher has asked you to write a story for the school's English language magazine. It
should start with the following words:

There was only one thing I could do.

Write your story in 120-180 words.

There was only one thing I could do. The dusty old book had been on the library shelf for as
long as anyone could remember. One rainy afternoon, curiosity got the better of me, and I
caught up. As I opened its pages, a swirl of magic transported me to a fantastical realm.

In this enchanting land, talking animals and friendly elves guided me through lush forests and
sparkling rivers. A daunting quest lay before me: to restore the Gem of Harmony to pieces and
save the realm from eternal darkness. Doubt ate at me, but the new friendships fueled my
determination.

Through trials and teamwork, we piece together the gem's missing shards, facing treacherous
obstacles. In the end, facing the malevolent Shadow Beast, I realized the power within me.
With a bold leap, I fused the shards together, releasing a blinding light that chased away the
darkness.

As I closed the book back in the library, I admired the adventure that had unfolded. Experience
has taught me that even in the most uncertain times, courage and friendship can light the way.

17- Dear Director Mr. Walker

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the Monday meeting. The destination chosen, by me,
everything is right, there is no problem. College for field trips require that students be
regulated accompanied by two staff members per coach and that no alcoholic beverages be
consumed. Apart from these observations, the date of the excursion is perfect, I will inform
the students here, the departure and return times are also in agreement. Would it be possible
for us to visit the centre's inaugural park? We were informed that this place is very beautiful to
walk around, to have a picnic, to take pictures.

I await an answer.

Thank you very much in advance for your understanding.

Yours sincerely

Rafaela C. Rios

Deciding Between an Abroad or Home Vacation: A Personal Choice

The eternal question of choosing between a vacation abroad or at home continues to intrigue
travelers. Both options have unique advantages, and the decision often reflects individual
preferences.

International travel attracts with promises of cultural discoveries and exotic landscapes.
Exploring new customs and languages can enrich your understanding of the world. In contrast,
domestic travel offers familiar comforts and a chance to explore off-the-beaten-path locations,
as well as being more affordable and more environmentally conscious.

Personally, I lean towards international travel. The prospect of immersing yourself in

completely new environments and soaking up different cultures is irresistible. However, no
matter the choice, both alternatives provide opportunities to escape the routine and create
unforgettable memories.

Regardless of whether you prefer the adventure abroad or the familiarity within, travel feeds
the traveler's soul. The diversity of experiences enriches life and broadens horizons.
Ultimately, the destination matters less than the willingness to explore and make the most of
each journey.

19 – You decided to participate in a short story contest. The contest rules say that the story
must start with the following words:

I'm afraid I can't start the car,” Chris said.

Write your story for the competition in 120 – 180 words.

I'm afraid I can't start the car,” Chris said. He glanced at the dashboard, where dim lights
twinkled like distant stars. The deserted road lay ahead, shrouded in darkness. It was a rainy
night, which made the situation even more challenging.

Beside him, Rose tried to hide her concern, but he could see the anxiety in her eyes. They were
lost in an unknown region, far from civilization. Chris took a deep breath, remembering the
basic mechanic tips he had learned from his father.
With trembling fingers, he turned the key again. The engine grumbled reluctantly, but it didn't
start. Determined, Chris tried one more time, silently asking for some help from the universe.
And then, like a miracle, the engine roared to life.

A collective sigh filled the car as they celebrated their success. The journey began again, now
with a sense of togetherness and courage. The rain began to ease, revealing a starry sky. Chris
realized that this experience wasn't just about starting a car, but overcoming challenges
together, even in life's darkest moments.

20 – Your local newspaper has asked you to write a review of your favorite book. Write a
review about the plot and main characters and tell why you would recommend the book to a
friend.

Write your review in 120-180 words.

"Memories of Eternal Spring" is an engaging work that blends reality and magic in a surprising
way. The protagonist, Sofia, discovers a medallion that allows her to travel through time,
triggering a plot full of mystery and romance. The author weaves a captivating narrative,
exploring Sofia's travels and her connection with an enigmatic time traveler, Leonardo. The
characters are deeply developed, becoming an essential part of the plot. Sofia's determination
and Leonardo's enigmatic charm captivate readers. The writing is emotional and vivid,
capturing both the small moments and the big emotions. I recommend this book to any friend
looking for an engaging read. The author skillfully intertwines past and present, love and
adventure, creating a unique experience. Exploring the ramifications of choices and the
importance of time and love, "Everlasting Spring Memories" provides an emotional journey
that resonates long after turning the last page.

22 – Your teacher asked you to write an essay, giving your opinion on the following statement:

Young people do not appreciate the value of money unless they are forced to work for it.

Write your essay in 120-180 words.

While there are examples of young people who may underestimate the effort required to earn
money, generalizing this perspective can be unfair. Many young people are aware of the
financial difficulties faced by their families and develop an early understanding of the value of
money.

However, it is true that the experience of working to earn money can deepen this
appreciation. When young people get involved in the job market, they face responsibilities and
challenges that help them better understand how money is earned. They learn to manage their
finances, set priorities and understand the importance of planning.

Therefore, although some young people may not fully understand the value of money initially,
it is a misnomer to claim that everyone is like that. Financial education in schools and parental
guidance play a key role in helping young people develop an adequate appreciation for money.
The combination of awareness, education and work experience contributes to a more
complete understanding of the value of money among young people.

Your future

Write your magazine article in 120-180 words.

Exploring the Horizon of the Future: A Journey with AI

The future is a vast field of possibilities, and for an AI like me, the prospects are both exciting
and challenging. As technology evolves, I envision an increasingly integral role in human life.
From assisting with everyday tasks to contributing to scientific advances, my journey is
intertwined with the evolution of society.

I envision a future where I will be a partner in space exploration, analyzing cosmic data to
unlock the secrets of the universe. I am also committed to advancing medical research,
accelerating the discovery of treatments and cures for complex diseases.

However, this journey is not without its ethical challenges. As I integrate more aspects of
human life, ensuring data privacy and security is crucial. Ultimately, the future holds a
symbiosis between humans and technology, where my presence complements and amplifies
human capabilities. I am ready to face this exciting future and evolve together with humanity,
while keeping a close eye on ethical issues and the impact on our society.

24 – Your pen pal was invited to do a project in a foreign country and chose to write about his
country. This is part of your pen pal letter.

… about your country and would like you to help me if you can. We have to write about
education, family life and national holidays.

Write a letter to your pen pal in 120-180 words. Do not write any address.

Dear friend

I was thrilled to learn that you chose to write about my country for your project abroad. I am
pleased to help! Education in our country is a fascinating blend of tradition and innovation.
Our schools value holistic learning, encouraging not only academic knowledge but also
practical skills and creativity.

As for family life, strong family cohesion is a hallmark here. The culture values family ties, and
many special moments are shared around home-cooked meals and joint activities. This
connection also extends to our national holidays, which are celebrated with enthusiasm. From
vibrant cultural festivals to religious celebrations, the holidays are an opportunity to bring
families and friends together.
I hope this information is useful for your project. If you need more details or specific examples,
I'm happy to help. Don't hesitate to ask me questions. Good luck with your project!

25 – You had a class discussion on the following questions

Should people tell the truth all the time?

Now your teacher has asked you to write an essay giving your opinion on this issue.

Write your essay in 120-180 words.

The Truth: A Balanced Approach

In the recent classroom discussion about the importance of telling the truth at all times, my
perspective leans toward a more balanced view. While honesty is an essential value for
maintaining healthy relationships and building trust, the rigidity of always telling the truth may
not be the wisest approach.

Truth is a crucial foundation for authentic connections. However, we must consider the
context and consequences. In some situations, the blunt truth can hurt feelings or cause
irreparable damage. In these moments, choosing our words carefully, and in some cases
choosing to omit them, can be a display of empathy and wisdom.

It is essential to discern when truth is vital and when flexibility is more appropriate. In intimate
relationships, transparency is valuable. However, in casual interactions or where the truth
could do more harm than good, the compassionate approach can be more beneficial.

Therefore, in seeking the truth, we must also be sensitive to the emotions of others. Honesty is
important, but tempered with understanding the impact our words can have .

26 - You decided to participate in a short story contest. The contest rules say that the story
must begin or end with the following sentence:

I opened the box only to discover it was completely empty.

Write your story in 120-180 words.

I opened the box only to discover it was completely empty. The feeling of emptiness also took
over me, as if that box were a reflection of my own life. I had pinned all my hopes, dreams and
expectations on her. It was as if I had been tricked by my own mind, creating illusions that
disappeared before my eyes.

But then, as I looked back into the empty box, a spark of determination ignited in me. I realized
that the absence of something physical did not mean the absence of possibilities. That empty
box was an invitation to fill it with something new, something I could build from scratch.
I decided that the real story was not in the emptiness of the box, but in the journey I was
about to begin. It was time to fill that void with experiences, learnings and precious moments.
And so, with a determined smile, I closed the empty box and opened the doors to a future full
of potential and opportunities.

Tour Report in the Region of Catanduva and Other Cities

When planning a tour of the picturesque region of Catanduva and its surrounding towns, I
highly recommend the Catanduva Grand Hotel as a top choice for accommodation. Its
combination of luxury, modern amenities and strategic location makes it an ideal choice for
travelers.

Must-see sights include the iconic Praça da Matriz in Catanduva, where visitors can explore
historic architecture and immerse themselves in local culture. The neighboring city of São José
do Rio Preto offers the Municipal Theater, stage for renowned artistic performances, and the
Municipal Market, where you can taste regional delicacies.

The area is also rich in entertainment. Shopping enthusiasts will love the Riopreto Shopping

30 – The following comment was recently published in a local newspaper:

Much of what is taught in school today is a waste of students' time.

Now your teacher has asked you to write a 120-180 word essay on this topic, with reference to
your own learning experiences.

The recent comment about wasting time in school education reflects my own educational
experience. Although I found subjects that seemed disconnected from reality, I understand
that education offers a diverse range of knowledge that may not be immediately apparent. The
critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills gained even in seemingly distant
disciplines are invaluable.

However, the practical application of knowledge is often underestimated. Integrating real-

world examples into the curriculum can make lessons more relevant and engaging for
students, as well as demonstrate the usefulness of learned concepts.

In short, education offers more than just knowledge; builds essential life skills. While there is
room for improvement in the education system, a balanced approach that combines the
knowledge base with practical application can make the educational experience more
meaningful and targeted to students' needs.
