    RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CONGRESSIONAL SPOUSES FOUNCTION INC.


    (CSFI) TO PROVIDE FIVE (5) UNITS OF DESKTOP COMPUTERS FOR THE
    ALTERNATIVE LEARNING SYSTEM (ALS) STUDENTS OF THE CITY OF STO.
    TOMAS, BATANGAS.

    WHEREAS, Congressional Spouses Foundation Inc. (CSFI) is a cause-oriented organization


    composed of the wives, husbands, mothers, daughters of the members of the House of
    Representatives; 

    WHEREAS, one of the challenges encountered by the teachers were the following: students’
    tardiness/absenteeism, inability to deliver lesson, unpredictable content of the examination, and
    unavailability of state of the art equipment like computers;

    WHEREAS, this would help the local government unit of the City of Sto Tomas, Batangas in its
    programs that provide education, employability skills and work experience to out-of-school
    youth;

    WHEREAS, its provision will lead to the effective teaching and learning process between the
    teachers and the learners.

    WHEREAS, the central purpose of technology in alternative education is to enable students to


    learn in a way that accommodates their individual learning styles and limitations. Equally
    important is helping them experience: greater independence, more comfortable and effective
    communication and increased academic performance;

    WHEREAS, in order to finance the local education roadmap, the city government maximized its
    partner driven initiatives by reaching out to other stakeholders such as corporate social
    responsibility (CSR) arms, NGOs, business establishments, foundations and national government
    agencies, as well as by expanding local funds beyond the Special Education Fund (SEF);
    NOW THEREFORE, I move for the approval of the foregoing resolution.
