In many countries, the proportion of old people is steadily increasing.

Does this trend have

more positive or negative effects on society?

Nowadays, an increasing number of people are concerned about a continuously growth of

elderly. However, whether long-lived people bring more harm than good for the community is a
controversial issue. In my opinion, I firmly believe that aged habitants are able to give
applicable advices and make contribute to functional works which young generation cannot
carry out it satisfactorily.

First, it is obvious that senior generation obtain the sea of knowledge about experience life and
work. This means that they hands-on an accomplished skills to their next of kin following in
their footsteps or people in society voluntarily. So, there is no doubt that the tendency of aged
people has no numerous effects on association.

Moreover, older residents play a key role in the development of advances medical, healthcare
system and team of professional experts. To be specific, during the Covid-19 pandemic, a large
number of elderly who is retired professors, doctors, nurses devoted take care for many
patients. Due to swarming with medical skills, they rapidly support for the younger scientists in
inventing a new vaccine against virus of Vietnamese.

That is not to say that old people not having any negative impact on society. Of course, the
government can consider the retirement police that much more later than at this time. But the
increasing of these people may forego potential economic growth because of bearing greater
burdens by shortage labor force.

In conclusion, the positive effects of senior generation far outweigh any bad influences. And
descendants should take time, regardless of how hectic their schedule is, to take care for their
physical and spiritual health.
