Our History

Zero Fire has over 25 years experience in the design and installation of
fire protection systems. The team fully understand how important an
efficient, cost effective and compliant system is to provide protection of
life and assets from the devastating effects of fire.

Innovation within the fire protection industry
is forever changing with research and new
technologies being released on a regular basis.
Zero Fire’s continuous improvement approach
keeps it at the forefront of these changes and
are market leaders in fire protection. Zero Fire is
a member of the Fire Protection Association of
New Zealand, accredited by Aon Fire Protection
and utilise a certified ISO9001 – Quality
Management System.
Zero Fire was incorporated in 2015 by the
managing director, Travis Pocock. The Zero Fire
story started with Travis as the single employee
and over the past five years has grown to
almost fifty full time staff over three divisions
and is continuing to grow at a steady rate.
Travis’s vision for Zero Fire was not only to build
a comprehensive and industry leading business
but also to provide an innovative, professional,
quality focused and enjoyable place for people
to work. This is reflected in the experienced,
diverse and energetic team at Zero Fire.
Being a family owned and operated business
allows decisions to be made decisively and
actioned without delay. We believe that our

one of the only fire protection companies to
provide this service in-house and don’t rely on
outsourcing this work. Our design team are
capable of providing Revit drawings to Level Of
Design – 500 (LOD 500).

Passive Fire Protection

Zero Fire is experienced in the installation of passive fire protection systems for commercial,
industrial and public buildings. BUNNINGS. HAMILTON

Passive measures provide protection by their very existence and are largely unseen. However,
they are vital to the stability and integrity of a building or structure when attacked by fire. They
serve the purpose to separate the building into areas of manageable risk, to restrict the growth
and spread of fire and protect structural elements from fire to prevent their early collapse. This
allows time for the occupants to escape and provides a degree of protection for fire fighters.

Zero Fire has NZQA level three and four accredited installers of fire stopping systems used in fire
rated walls and floors with integrity and insulation.
