A. Direct Characterization: the author’s direct explanation about the personality of
the character, for example “This man has lived very long to take easy on any hardship of life.” This reveals the personality of the man that he has learnt from his experiences, had the wisdom to face challenges in his life.
Sometimes, a character is also clearly stated as “she is a hard-working mother…”
