METHOD OF STATEMENT

1. PURPOSE
TPG shall, in accordance with and subject to the terms and conditions specified in the
specification, furnish/supply, install and guarantee all materials supplied. TPG shall be fully
responsible for all aspects on the project in terms of assuring the quality of the materials
supplied and installed on-site providing all necessary resources to ensure the clients
requirements.
TPG shall use all necessary resources with due care ensuring that the project is completed
within the time allotted for the project. Rectifying defects within the warrantee period is
under the responsibility of TPG provided that the damaged is due to quality issues and not
due to the misuses of the items installed specified in the Bill of Quantities.
2. DESIGN LIFE AND DEFECT LIABILITY PERIOD
All necessary technical data, manuals and warrantee certificates of all materials/items
installed on-site as specified in the SOW will be submitted to the client. TPG will provide the
contact information for the suppliers of the materials installed on-site after the warrantee
period stated in the contract is completed. A hard and soft copy of the documents will be
provided to the client upon completion of the project.
TPG is also required to remedy any defects or damage caused by poor workmanship or
defective materials/quality issue during the defect liability period.
All costs for the remedial works inclusive of materials, labor, equipment and overhead costs
shall be under TPG’s expense.

3. SCOPE

TPG shall provide as per the scope of work and specifications specified therein or by
considering equivalent materials as approved by the client for the project, GASCO JEDDAH
BRANCH – Trucks waiting area fire protection system based on below scope of work:

Civil Works – Construction of Trench for underground piping


1 Survey and mark the areas to be excavated to ensure that the area is free
from any existing underground utilities.
2 Excavate the area to the depth required as per the client provided drawings.
3 Keep some of the excavated material and dispose of the rest.
4 Compact the area in preparation for the lean concrete.
5 Lay-out vapor barrier on the ground.
6 Pour concrete to serve as a base.

7 Lay-out fabricated reinforcements for the trench base and wall.
8 Install shuttering.
9 Pour ready mix concrete on the whole trench area.
10 Remove the shuttering upon reaching curing time.
11 Apply 2 costs of bituminous water proofing with protection board on vertical
surfaces exposed to ground.
12 Apply epoxy polysulphide on interior walls and floors.
13 Fabricate and install trench covers.
Fire Protection System
1 Lay-out the pipes to be integrated to the existing fire protection system
(including all supports and necessary valves for above and below ground
piping system)
2 Integrate the FHMC to the new piping system.
3 Inform GASCO for the shutdown or isolation of the old system to connect the
new line.
4 Once fully integrated, pressure test to be done as per the standards.

All material technical data will be provided to the client for approval prior to procurement
and delivery.
Sequential RFI’s will be submitted to the technical department of TPG prior to proceeding
with any succeeding work activity.

5. GENERAL
1 TPG to arrange all necessary Permits required to performing this job by the
support of GASCO.
2 All the Manpower used for this project will be provided with PPE and they will
be aware of all the Safety Standards of GASCO.
3 All the equipment’s required for this project will be approved from GASCO
and Third party certified (if required)
4 TPG will barricade the area under execution and provide necessary sign
boards and caution boards as per GASCO Standards.
5 Site Preparation and Site Survey works will be followed with necessary mark
up.

6. EXECUTION PROCEDURE
TPG shall perform all the Civil, Plumbing and Mechanical works for the Trucks waiting area
fire protection system as per the scope of work within the engineering norms.

7. GATE PASSES
TPG will obtain for his staff / workers, equipment, all necessary gate pass in coordination with
GASCO Authorized representative for the successful execution of job.
8. WPR
GASCO will provide the Work Permit as per the Client’s requirement will be available on the
field during the execution.

9. EQUIPMENT
Equipment to be available at site but not limited to:
• Masonry and civil tools include:
o wheelbarrows
o Shovels
o Trowels
o Levels
o Jointers
• Electrical equipment includes:
o Jackhammers
o Cutting Machine
o Grinding Machine
o Drilling Machine
o Testers
• Ladders
• Other necessary items needed

10. SAFETY
Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE’s) such as Hard Hat, vest, Safety Shoe, etc. to be always
worn during job execution work by making awareness of hazards among the employees.
Proper access to the work area shall be maintained throughout the working period. Safety
Sign boards to be posted in all the restricted and executive areas.
1 TPG’s personnel shall wear all the times the proper personal protective
equipment (PPE) during the works.
2 TPG shall install safety barricades, lightings and apply dust control measures.
3 TPG shall follow the GASCO safety rules when inside its vicinity.
4 TPG and its labor force shall attend a one (1) day safety orientation headed
by GASCO safety.
5 All the works will abide by the safety instruction/procedure as indicated in
project safety plan and metropolis rules and regulation.
6 During works, there will be adequate housekeeping passage to prevent
workers from tripping over materials.
7 When working on the hand power tools (operating drilling machine), it is
compulsory for operatives to make use of the right personal protective
equipment such as helmets, clothing, and goggles, etc.
8 Followed the safety procedures while operating the power tools.
9 Any workers working at the height above 3m will be protected by safety belts
to avoid fall.

10 There will be enough sufficient lighting where applicable.

11. HANDING OVER


1 Final Handover will be done after a full inspection and/or completion of raised
snags by the client.
2 Work Completion certificate/Taking Over Certificate will be provided by
GASCO stating the handing over date in which will be the basis for the
warrantee period.

12. CLEANING
The area shall be cleaned from dirt and debris upon completion of each activity on daily basis.
13. QUALITY ASSURANCE
TPG is in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
14. OSHAS STANDARD CERTIFICATE
TPG is in accordance with the requirements of OSHAS 18001.
15. Dust Control

TPG shall take all reasonable measures, which shall include the provision and use adequate
water spraying equipment to minimize dust nuisance. Particular attention shall be paid to the
danger of dust from any hazardous material and the TPG shall make adequate provision for
dumping down all working areas, haul routes, loads and stockpiles containing materials,
which may be harmful to the environment or health. Further, any contaminated stockpile
material on site shall be enough covered or contained to prevent release of any airborne
material, which may be harmful to the environment or health or cause nuisance.

16. Disposal of Rubbish, Demolished Products and Surplus Materials


TPG shall be responsible for proper disposal of waste outside GASCO premises
