NESTOR JOHN A . BULAN

HUMSS 12-6
DAY 1

On the first day, my accomplishment is that they tasked us to attend the flag

ceremony at they let us make essays and reflections about PNP. Every first day of the

week requires one to attend this practice where employees gather to attend the flag

ceremony. Since we got to attend, we are able to witness different employees with

different duties in the municipality. After this, we are tasked to make an essay that contains

our first impressions and expectations about our upcoming experiences. In this way, we

had to express our excitement in doing our task and be able to adapt in the new

environment. Indeed, our first day is a blast and an eye-opener to a workplace and PNP

environment.

Having the immersion which is required for grade 12 students was really a good

start to experience how it feels to be in a workplace. It is the first day where students are

meant to see their new environment where they can learn and be able to immerse

themselves in their dream job. The immersion is a way of proving to yourselves that these

experiences will be a foundation for future purposes. I have realized see the purpose of

working and serving the community that someday I will serve with principle.
DAY 2

Our second day, they gave us surveys to answer containing questions about community

safety. Learning the safety of the community requires observation, attentiveness, and

careful consideration. I have learned to be careful in my actions and what I really see in

the community. It requires us people not only students to be able to learn different

precautions on how to react to these problems in society. Furthermore, we also sold some

tickets for the Ammung festival, and they also taught us about the Bida program. Since

the festival is coming, we had to sell these tickets to be able to cooperate with the

government’s program. We are able to meet other people and be able to learn how to

communicate with them.

I have realized that Work immersion is a stage where the graduating students can

show their skills and talent when it comes to their chosen courses. Work immersion is

important to all of us who are in the Senior High stage to prepare for any challenge or

task in the real world. Students try to communicate to other people with different points of

view either employees or ordinary people. The office of the PNP had thought students

considering me to be more aware of the different situations and happenings in Alfonso

Lista.
DAY 3

On our day 3, we learned how to do the basic marching, commands, and traffic

signs. They also teach us how to dismantle/ disassemble guns and parts of the gun. As

we learn the basic commands and marching, we are able to learn discipline and

attentiveness. We have learned to properly execute and be as you were in every

command. Every action promotes concentration and focus as you listen to every

command. Also, learning traffic sign also signifies responsibility as a citizen to be able to

prevent accidents and be able to be knowledgeable in different situations.

Many lessons and practices are learned and the most important thing to remember

is the value of determination. Being an intern in PNP requires dedication and

perseverance. Accordingly, it requires your passion as you enjoy what you have been

tasked and required to do. Hence, this internship had thought students to chase their

dreams as long as they are focused, determined, and disciplined. Indeed, immersion had

helped students to experience the essence of working and helping other people in many

ways.
DAY 4

I attended seminar with the theme, “Tecking pulis at Kabataan”. They have

shared links which we can use in order to learn from it and be able to use when doing

your assignments. I find it useful since it is very rampant to us students. This seminar

had thought me to become a responsible student and a citizen. It suggests different

mode of learning while serving the community.

As a student, we have a lot of learnings ahead of us. It is our responsibility to

grab them and be able to adapt from it. Joining seminars will always be boring for me

but if it is informative it entertains me and I really enjoy it. Day by day, I had to observe a

lot of people and students with their different perspectives and that makes me a better

person. Indeed, this immersion is both a responsibility and a duty.

DAY 5

On our day five, we introduced ourselves and the BJMP officials shared their

values and principles. In an office, they have the Code of Ethics, which reflects their

accountability and transparency as a civil servant. I have discovered a lot of values and

strict rules during work. As a student, we have values to learn and someday as a PNP

officers, we need to improve them to become a better person and public servant. As they

share different values, we have seen them and be motivated to follow them and be able

to share with other people. Hence, as a youth, we have our challenges and flaws but

being able to learn form these values is a great change to start my dreams.

The enduring basic values of love of God, respect for authority, unselfish love and

service for others, sanctity of marriage and family life, responsible dominion and

stewardship over material things, and truthfulness must therefore be adhered to and

internalized by the personnel of the Philippine National Police. Core values also help to

identify if they are on the correct path and completing their goals by generating an

unwavering guide, as I have learnt that they are guiding principles that dictate the conduct

and can help people comprehend the difference between right and wrong.
DAY 6

Our day 6 was filled with knowledgeable and informative seminars. They have

lectured as about the PDL values, principles, and objectives. They have thought as good

a lot of information which we can adapt in the future. They have introduced their programs

for the community, re-invention of sports, and religious or spiritual activities. Lastly,

educational and vocational careers. Thus, these programs ad principles are meant to

inspire other people to help.

Helping others enhances social connection, diverts attention from one's own

issues, and boosts one's sense of competence and self-worth. I must acknowledge that

helping others is considered to be one of the ways people establish, preserve, and

develop their social ties. Additionally, after attending that seminar, I began to believe that

we students might improve and restore the social functioning of those who were living in

poverty by just lending a hand and speaking up for the younger generation by joining

community volunteerism and to join as a location for training programs in exposure,

immersion, and other aspects of academic and community development.

DAY 7

On our seventh day, they tasked us to form a group to do an exciting activity.

Also, we practiced singing a song for the Warden and playing games. This activity made

the warden happy and shared us some words of inspiration through the words of God.

These words had enlightened and awakened our spiritual well-being as an internship to

lend our hearts and mind to be fed by the message of the Kingdom of God. Being in the

service of PNP requires different well-being, one of that is spiritual. Serving God and

serving people is the standard. By following his rules and words, we are able to spread

humanity.

The seventh day is just like the message of the Sabbath day, we are filled with the

k knowledge and love of God. I had to indulge myself that no matter what happen in

immersion or in the future, God is always there. I believe that he importance of the Word

of God is that as we depend on it and read it daily, we form an unbreakable bond with

God. We understand what He wants us to do, His will, and our purpose in life. The Lord

is close to us when we call upon His name in truth.

DAY 8

On our day eight, they had thought us the basic ropemanship, the techniques and

ways how to use it. I have been so dedicated in learning it since it will help me in future

purposes like the techniques and skills you need to have. In the afternoon, they had to

group us to perform it, I had to motivate myself in cooperating since I had to help and my

groupmates for our group to become successful.

Learning basic skills like the techniques in using the rope will always be survival

knowledge for me. It is not just a rope but it can be use in our daily lives. Any new skill

requires time and effort to learn. If you provide your trainee with the exposure, motivation,

and opportunity to practice, you can raise the likelihood that they will internalize more of

what they have learned. Your learning plan should include these activities. Spend some

time considering the abilities you want to strengthen the most and how you may continue

to encourage learning beyond the session.

DAY 9

On our ninth day in immersion, ma’am Lesley thought us on how to perform CPR.

She demonstrated the basic ways to properly perform these survival techniques.

Furthermore, she explained that Learning CPR ensures that you will know how to respond

appropriately and quickly. Having CPR training gives you the knowledge, self-assurance,

and skills you need to help someone in need while remaining calm in the face of a medical

emergency. By being prepared to intervene everywhere a cardiac arrest occurs, those

with CPR certification are ready to make a difference in their community.

I believe that learning CPR gives you the greatest chance to save lives. Being

ready is crucial since you never know when an accident or medical emergency will

happen. One of the best ways to get ready to handle a variety of medical crises is to get

CPR training. You will learn the CPR procedures as well as important medical knowledge

and theoretical underpinnings. Understanding the value and benefits of understanding

CPR is, in fact, the first step in assisting your community.

DAY 10

Our last day, the tenth day of immersion, a bittersweet moment for us since the

activities and task will be missed. On this day, they teach us the techniques and proper

ways to use it. We have also learned the essence and their uses like, to reduce fracture

of the bone if the injury is silver. Furthermore, they have thought us various things about

the careful ways of performing it. We also learned about basic procedures but if carried

out incorrectly it has the potential to cause considerable harm, for example by restricting

movement or blood flow.

I have realized that , you have the advantage of being able to assist individuals in

need if you understand first aid. You or another person could become unwell or sustain

an injury at any time. With a basic understanding of bandaging, you can stop a minor

accident before it gets worse. I am grateful that I had to learn from the experience while

knowing how to dress and bandage a wound properly is an essential skill that can help

prevent infection and promote healing.
