BIS Vista Monitors All Models
For use will all Vista Service Parts that are not covered by either the Service Manual
P/N 075-0015 or a specific insert received with the associated spare part kit.
Refer to the following procedure for the proper assembly, serial number programming,
testing and documentation of the service activities.

2 DISASSEMBLY:
3 ASSEMBLY:
3.1.1 Remove the adhesive liner from the membrane keypad and
installed in the recessed area on the front of the back bezel. Ensure
that the flex cable is inserted completely through the perforation
and that the switch is aligned within the recessed area.
3.1.3 Thread the wires through the metal back nut and thread the nut
onto the receptacle. Tighten this nut using a 21mm deep well
socket. Torque to 4 in-lbs.

3.1.4 Carefully place the display sub-assembly over the back bezel
assembly while routing the cables from the display sub-assembly
as shown.
3.1.5 Turn the assembly around and ensure that all wires were fed
though and none are caught in between surfaces then turn the
assembly around once more.
3.1.7 Carefully align the front bezel over the sub assembly flip the
assembly upside down and using 4 screws secure the front bezel to
the rest of the assembly. Torque these screws to 120 in-oz.

3.1.8 Using a gage, verify that the gap between the front and back bezels
around the assembly is correct.
NOTE: If using a board replacement kit, the Vista serial number needs to be
programmed onto the board. After assembly follow the instructions in the
serial number programming section.
3.2.1 Thread the cable tie through the holes on the board as shown. Do
not close the tie wrap yet.
3.3.1 Turn over the display assembly (screen down) and carefully place
the motherboard assembly on it. Ensure that no wires or flex
cables are caught between the assemblies.
3.3.2 Secure the assemblies using six mounting screws. Tighten the
screws to 100 in-oz.

3.3.3 Connect the (5) Bezel assembly cables to the Board assembly.
Reference the pictures below.

3.4.1 Attach the connector board bracket to the connector board using
the bracket mounting screws (ref. the pictures below). Hand tighten
the screws.

3.4.2 Slide the communication’s board into position ensuring the board
slides within the slots on the rear housing as shown. Secure the
board assembly using the mounting screws.

3.5.1 Connect the Battery, Power Supply and Speaker Cables on the
Back Cover sub-assembly to the applicable connectors on the
Bezel/Board sub-assembly.

3.6.1 When replacing the battery cover, if the unit was manufactured in
USA, use battery cover part number 10004951. If the unit was
manufactured in Singapore, use battery cover part number
10005582.
3.6.2 Visually inspect power supply for a green dot inside AC connector.
If no green dot, the power supply should be replaced.
3.6.4 Place the brace over the power supply and attach it to the battery
cover assembly using the mounting screws. Tighten to 120 in.-oz.

3.7.1 Insert the battery pack into the recessed area on the Back Cover as
shown and carefully connect the cable to the appropriate
receptacle. Note the routing of the wires.
3.8.2 Carefully align the Battery Cover sub-assembly to the Back Cover
of the monitor. Be careful not to pinch the power supply or
battery cables.
3.8.3 Attach the Battery Cover sub-assembly to the Back Cover of the
monitor using the mounting screws and tighten to 120 in.-oz.
3.8.4 Peel the liner material off the rubber feet to expose the adhesive.
Ensure that the surface of the housing is clean. Carefully attach
them to the appropriate, recessed locations on the bottom of the
monitor.

3.9.1 Apply the Serial label, VISTA label Not for PE label to its location
on the rear cover as needed.
4.1 Attach serial cable from PC COM 1 to serial port on back of Vista.
4.2.2 Navigate through the Vista menu to get to the appropriate screen
by following this sequence on the Vista screen:
Menu→Next→Next→Maintenance→Serial Protocol
4.5.1 If time and date needs updated enter the correct time and date in
the Set time and Date entry location and select Set time and Date.
4.6 Type the Vista serial number in the Serial number entry location and select
Set Serial Number.
4.7 Verify the serial number has updated by following this sequence on the
Vista screen: Menu→Next→Configuration
5 SCREEN CALIBRATION:
5.1 The Vista Screen can be calibrated by following this sequence on the Vista
screen: Menu→ Next→Next→Maintenance→Calibrate Touch Screen
