CHAPTER 1

Welcome to Dairy Special Course. Congratulations! You have just finished

taking your PRE-TEST. I hope you’ve done your best in answering it. You will learn
your score after the due date. We will discuss the answer during our live session or
through video presentations. After dairy terminology familiarization, the next topic will
focus on the common farm tools we use on the farm. Like in the previous topic, we will
begin with an activity.

Some common farm tools are given in Table 1.

Categories of farm tools, their uses and maintenance practices

Activity 1
1. Find out the names of the farm tools in Table 1.
2. Categorize the tools as either farming tools or gardening tools.
3. Discuss the uses and maintenance practices of each of the tools. Note them down
and present them in class.

Write your answer in a journal notebook and take a photo and submit. Don’t
forget to write your NAME, SECTION, AND DATE. You will need to submit your
journal notebook at the end of the training course as a requirement.
