Installing the Electrical Pull Box

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE:
Given the needed tools and materials, you should be able to install an electrical pull box
based on the layout plan.

SUPPLIES/ MATERIALS:
Pull box, wood screws

EQUIPMENT:
Power drill, screwdrivers, level bar, marking tools, pull-push rule

STEPS/ PROCEDURE:
1. Refer to the layout plan for the required measurements. Mark and lay out the height
dimension of the electrical pull box using horizontal lines. Extend the horizontal line
using a spirit level.
2. Make a vertical line to get the exact location of the pull box. Extend the marking again.
Use a level bar to ensure that the alignment is straight. The marking indicates the
location of the pull box.
3. Position the pull box on the marking. Make sure that the pull box is in the center of the
marking.
4. Mark all mounting holes provided in the pull box on the wiring board.
5. Fix the pull box with two wood screws. This ensures that the alignment is straight or
level.
6. Check the vertical and horizontal alignment. Then fix the pull box with the remaining
screws.
7. After completing this task, do not forget to perform the 5s of Good Housekeeping and to
return all tools and surplus materials.
