MIDTERM EXAM

“MY UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE”

Hello, ladies and gentlemen, I, Luis Manuel L. Roxas, a 2nd-year BSME student at
the Visayas State University-Main Campus, will tell you about my unforgettable experience
in my life. But first, let me ask you, do you know Jesus? Do you believe in Him? Do you
worship Him? Do you offer your life to Him? To begin with my unforgettable experience. It
was to know more about God, our heavenly Father, the King of all Kings. When I was a kid,
my parents introduce Jesus to my life, they said Jesus is the only God that can help us
anytime we needed Him and He is our savior and our only God. That’s all my knowledge
about God and nothing else and I thought it was enough to tell that I know God Himself but
it’s not. Even when we go to church every Sunday, my mind is not in the mass, instead, it is
in the other dimension thinking of anything. I was so good when it comes to partying,
drinking alcohol, etc., but while inside the church, I was always sleepy and bored even if the
mass was only 2 hours a day and 1 day a week and I can’t give that little time to our God
and I know that’s bad but I accidentally do that all the time.

But when I was a Grade 12 student, God uses an instrument (My Teacher in General
Chemistry and my close classmates) to influence me to know more about Him, to have an
intimate relationship with Him, to spread the good news, to be thirsty to His words, and to
seek Him every time. After class, we always go to our teacher’s classroom to begin the bible
study. At first, I realized that I was so ignorant about the bible. I don’t even know the Old and
New Testaments in the bible and also the verses inside it, even to create my own prayer. I
was so embarrassed at myself that I lost too much time to know Him more. As time goes by,
with the help of my teacher and my classmates, I do learn more about God little by little, He
can be our first Friend, love, and Father. We can’t just pray to solve our individual problems
but to greet Him, tell Him how was your day, and thank Him every single day for our good
health and being alive.

To conclude, I know that I’m not worthy to be loved by God because I’m a sinner but
you know what? God always forgives us for our sins, He even gives His only begotten Son
Jesus Christ and that’s in John 3:16 (For God so loved the world that He gave His one only
begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life) and
that’s how much we love by God, so be thankful to Him. Worship Him. Trust His timing.
Always seek for Him. Spread His words. Offer your life to Him. Have an intimate relationship
with Him along with your family. Always praise Him forever and ever in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
