1. Why are the principles of food safety important of consumer?

=The principles of food safety are essential for consumers because they help to ensure that the food
they eat is safe and free from harmful contaminants. Food safety principles are designed to prevent
foodborne illness, which can cause serious health problems such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and
even death.

2. There is general purpose of Philippines food law. Why do we need law for food sector

=The Philippines Food Law, also known as the Food Safety Act of 2013, has a general purpose of
ensuring the safety and quality of food products in the country.There are several reasons why we need
laws for the food sector. First and foremost, food safety is a public health issue, and the consumption of
contaminated or unsafe food can cause illnesses and even death. Food laws help to establish guidelines
and standards for food production, processing, and distribution, to minimize the risks of contamination
and ensure that food products are safe for consumption.

3. How is that are food safety standard protects the consumer?

=Food safety standards are regulations and guidelines set by government agencies or international
organizations to ensure that food is safe for consumption and free from harmful contaminants. These
standards are in place to protect the consumer from foodborne illnesses and other health hazards.

safe and sanitary. To achieve this goal, the law provides a comprehensive set of implementing rules and

=One food safety issue that is of great concern is the presence of foodborne pathogens in our food
supply. Foodborne pathogens are microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and parasites that can cause
illness when consumed by humans. These pathogens can be present in a variety of foods, including
meats, poultry, seafood, dairy products, fruits, and vegetables. One of the most well-known foodborne
pathogens is Salmonella, which is commonly found in raw or undercooked poultry, eggs, and meat.
