Reading
After the concert
Hi, Tom,
I’m writing to you from the Hope Music
Festival. It’s seven in the morning and it’s very
quiet here now. There isn’t any music and a
lot of people are sleeping. There’s nothing to
do. My friends and I want to go home, but
there aren’t any buses or trains at the
moment. The next bus is in three hours. We’re
waiting for that.
Last night, this place was very different. There
were hundreds of people here and some great
bands – a reggae band from Jamaica and a
heavy metal band from England. There were
rock bands, too. The weather wasn’t great –
we were in jumpers and jackets. Rosie was
ill – I think she had a headache. But the music
was great – we really enjoyed it.
