REFLECTION

(First Quarter)
As the 1st quarter ended, my personal philosophy of teaching revolves
around creating a learner-centered environment that fosters active
engagement, critical thinking, and holistic development. I believe that each
student is unique, with their own set of strengths, weaknesses, interests, and
learning styles. Therefore, the approach to teaching centers that I made was
Individualization and Differentiation. Recognizing the diverse needs and
learning styles of students, I aimed in designing lessons and activities that
tailored to meet the specific needs of each learner. This could involve using
various teaching strategies, offering alternative assessments, or providing
additional support for those who require it.

Another was Active Learning. Encouraging students to actively

participate in the learning process is essential to foster deeper understanding
and retention of knowledge. I strived creating an interactive classroom where
students are encouraged to ask questions, engage in discussions, collaborate
with peers, and apply their learning to real-life situations.

In essence, my learner-centered philosophy of teaching places the

students at the core of the educational process. By recognizing their
individuality and empowering them to take ownership of their learning, I strive
to nurture well-rounded, curious, and lifelong learners who can thrive in an
ever-changing world.
