HIST 1302: The U.S. from 1877

Debate Roster
______________________________________________________________________________

TIP: To find your name, press Control F on PCs and Command F on Macs. Enter your name in
the search field and it should be identified on the document. Please ensure that your name is
posted and that it only appears once. If you cannot locate your name or if it is posted twice,
please message me as soon as possible.

Even though there are multiple people assigned to each debate position/side, you are all equal
debate leaders and will be assessed individually. You are not expected to work with others
in your group, although if you do so, it can positively impact the strength of your arguments.

You must complete the debate brief and submit it to the TurnItIn dropbox the day after your
debate closes. If you do not submit a brief, you will receive a zero for this assignment.
The debate brief is located in the debate folder under the Content tab (as is the TurnItIn
dropbox).

I have posted a rubric with some suggested approaches, to help you better understand what you
will be assessed on.

To those leading debates, please post your arguments by 11:59 pm on Thursday but clicking the
"Create Thread" tab.  You will not see your debate topic until it opens on Thursday.

Those participating can pose their questions by replying to a thread created by those leading the
debate. Participation is mandatory.

For more information, refer to lecture entitled, “Introduction to the Course” and the syllabus.
