III. PROCEDURES
B. INTRODUCTION Say: Today we will continue getting to know each other while enhancing our skills in
reading and counting.
C.TEACHING / MODELLING Say: Today, we will be watching an example of a fable. A fable is a story that usually
uses animals to teach a valuable life lesson or moral. Let us watch the story of the
Golden Egg (Gintong Itlog).
Ask: What happened to the man when he received the golden egg?
What did the man do to the hen?
What is the moral lesson of the story?
E. GUIDED PRACTICE Say: Because we watched a story about the Golden Egg, let us create our own design
of an egg. However, to color this egg, we should find the sum of each part of the egg.
Each sum corresponds to a color that we will use for the egg.

F. INDEPENDENT PRACTICE The learners will copy the poem on their notebook. They will be given time to prepare
for choral reading.
